I just posted this in my thread but would like to generate some chatter about what should be a pretty good clash between the Lobos and Aztecs...
New Mexico +10 @ San Diego State (1.5 units)
UNM lost a tough one at Colorado State on Saturday night in a game that was vital for both teams' tournament chances. Joe Lunardi has them completely out of the tournament picture for the time being, but they can play themselves right back in with a win tonight against the 6th ranked Aztecs. At 5-5 and fifth in the Mountain West pecking order, this is the game of the season for New Mexico. I love betting on desperate teams, so this is a great spot especially since the Aztecs won by 10 at The Pit. New Mexico has the personnel to matchup with the rugged Aztecs and an excellent floor general in Dairese Gary. A loss here pretty much ends all discussion for the Lobos as they won't have any more opportunities for a signature win other than a trip to Provo to play BYU in the payback game for Fredette and co. Pretty big play here by my standards.
