Some games are brutal to watch. The problem is all these kids want to make ESPN! No one cares about fundamentals. How many kids in CBB actually have a mid range jump shot? None! All kids want to do is shoot 3's and take it to the rack. No such thing as a dominant inside guy anymore. NOBODY and I MEAN NOBODY in CBB can actually make FT's...It's hard to watch kids who are "shooting guards" and they shoot 60% from the FT strike. You are a shooting guard!! How do you not make 80%+?

Yesterday's games were dreadful to say the least.  2nd round should pick up the quality of play, but no doubt the NBA crushes NCAA.

College basketball is literally all coaching.  The kids are like robots out there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, don't college girls have a 30 second shot clock? I think 35 should be cut to 30 as well. They are still kids and not pros to handle 24. Even though they think they are pros.

Out of 63 games in the tournament, there won't be more than 10 good games in the entire tournament. 

There were 2 decent games yesterday out of 16?

Montana was a complete utter embarrasment. I have never seen a team in the tourney look so scared to play. Go out have fun, and try. Instead throw up 31 3-pointers and make 4 of them....

Akron lost it's best player before the tourney, and had 2 starters out so I give them some leway...But still awful

I haven't watched but a few games before the tournament. But I love the tournament. Watched more games yesterday than all season. NBA is far superior in talent and overall excitement of the game.

I understand not enjoying the play of the NBA-basically pick and roll or one on one-but at least the players are skilled.Watching teams like Cincinnati that just recruit athletes who can run fast and jump high but can't play the game turns me off.You see a lot of that in the Big East overall.

But going back to the NBA,if you don't have a team you follow or have a bunch of young cocky guys that just play for the check in your city,it's probably not too appealing..I'm lucky.I live in Dallas(not so lucky this year,thanks Cuban)where we have a superstar and a great person to represent the team and city in Dirk.Once he's gone,it will definitely be a lot different though.

Again though, your arguing about the game itself. The system college bball has makes it so much better than college football even if football provides a better on field product. These games mean something In march. You play to get to march. In football, you play to get to the beef bowl. THE BEEF BOWL. What a joke

play basketball about 4-6 times a week and have for along time ...

Younger players (D1-D3) are at a all time low . the fundamentals are just not there . Sure they can jump out of the gym , but they take horrible shots, fall for evey pump fake , and overall have a much lower Basketball IQ than 20+ yeas ago.. On top of that many of them ae unccoachable .

 

I Loved College Basketball in the 80's and the early 90's ...alph was one of my favs then , Now it's full of guys who take the wrong shots and turn the ball over at a high rate

Not the first time a coach K or a top level coach has made those comments , and face it they know 10000x moe than anyone on this foum about college basketball...

 

 

anyone with half a brain knows that the  college game was much better when players stayed in school instead of going pro hee or overseas
