After losing their first conference game of the year at home in double overtime to Indiana St, (of all teams) the Panthers have won seven straight games.Over its seven-game winning streak, UNI is shooting 51 percent from the field and 45 percent from three-point range, while making an average of eight three-pointers per game. UNI’s defense has also been outstanding, as it is holding its opponents to just 38 percent field goal shooting and an average of 57.4 points per contest. Missouri State and UNI met two weeks ago in Cedar Falls, the Panthers posted a 78-64 win.
Missouri State is 9-10 overall, 2-6 in the Missouri Valley, having won two of their last three games. The Bears are 8-4 at home (2-2 in Valley games), in their first year playing in JQH Arena. Chris Cooks averages a team-best 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
The Bears can be tough at home but I'll stick with the league leading Panthers to stay hot and get their 5th straight conference road win of the year.
