1* 220-220
2* 29-31
3* 7-8
4* 1-1
5* 1-1
1* Cleveland St Vikings -1.5
These two split the regular season, each winning on their home floor. Neither is good by any means, but I think the Vikings are "less-bad", plus this game is on their home floor which is a large advantage in a tournament. IU just can't stop anyone. They press the whole game, and now the Vikings have seen it twice, so it shouldn't be anything they really struggle with.
1* Coppin State Eagles +19.5
Howard sits atop the MEAC alone, 1 game ahead of both Norfolk St and Morgan St. Howard just beat Morgan St, plays Coppin tonight, and then finishes with Norfolk. I think this is a sleepy spot for the Bison off the big win, and another big game next. Coppin only has 7 wins on the year, but they've won 4 of their last 5. They lost by 19 the first time around, and I think having played them already, benefits the lesser talented team.
1* Duke Blue Devils -9.5
Yes, Duke has revenge with UNC on deck for their senior night. But it's not until Saturday, so I don't really worry about them looking past another in state rival. Especially one that has been struggling like the Wolfpack have been. Scheyer has played/coached in this spot before, and knows the importance of getting the overall number one seed in the NCAA tournament. Any slip up could cost them from here on out. I think the public will hammer the home dog getting nearly double digits, and usually, the public is wrong.
1* Incarnate Word Cardinals +8.5
Stephen F. Austin has locked up a share of the Southland title already, so no real motivation to be on their A game. It's IWs senior night, and they only lost @ SFA by 10, so asking them to stay within 9 on their home floor, given the circumstances, doesn't seem to much to ask for. Their 10 point loss at SFA was also game 3 of a 3 game road trip.
1* New Orleans Privateers -7.5
The Privateers have been playing great ball lately, winning 4 of their last 5, with a win over SFA in there. Their sole loss was their last one (right after the SFA win) to McNeese, so no real shame there. They have one last game at home tonight, and I think could ultimately finish with the 3 seed in the conference tourney, so plenty of motivation left.
1* Iowa St Cyclones +7.5
I think its pretty clear that ISU was looking past a JT Toppin-less Red Raider team to this game, and it cost them. They looked ahead to Kansas earlier in the year, and lost to TCU. They then beat KU by 18. I don't know that they win tonight, but Arizona is coming off the 23 point beat down of Kansas themselves. It's their Senior Night for Jaden Bradley, so the atmosphere will be off the charts, but sometimes that can be a detriment to the home team. Emotions get too high, and throws things out of whack. ISU has seniors themselves and the moment won't be too big for them.
