BU and Merrimack both blew double digit, second half leads yesterday. Bad luck.
1* Louisville/UNC Over 162.5
Carolina isn't guarding anyone, especially at the guard position. Therein lies the strength of this Louisville team. Two of the best in the country coming to Chapel Hill tonight, and I wouldn't be shocked if one of them drops 30+ on this defense. The Heels don't know how to defend the three point line, and Louisville has numerous guys who can make shots from the outside. Flip side is, UNCs offense didn't seem to miss a beat with Veesaar back @ Syracuse. Louisvilles defense on the road has been less than impressive, giving up 80 or more in every road game but two this year. UNC is going to have to play at a faster tempo to stay in this game, so I expect this one to cruise over.
1* Lamar Cardinals -3.5
The Cards have lost five in a row, so this one tough to back, but I hate the spot for Nicholls. This is their fourth straight road game, they've lost the last two which have been close games, including their last game when they nearly knocked off conference leader Stephen F. Austin on their home floor just two days ago. They can't have much left in the tank, if anything at all. Lamar holds a significant size advantage in the interior, and should smear the Colonels on the glass. The line has come down a point, which scares me a bit, but I'm sticking with what I know. It helps that Lamar has covered in 10 straight against Nicholls.
1* Houston Cougars -1.5
You'd think Kansas would be in a good spot tonight, coming off the embarrassment that was the 16 point loss @ Phog to lowly Cincinnati. But they are getting a Houston team that has lost back to back games. That's only happened once since Houston joined the Big 12, and they came out and beat Texas Tech by 23 in the next game. Bill Self is clearly frustrated with Peterson and his clown show that he has going on. I'm sure some of the guys are frustrated with him too. If no one knows if they can count on you, they probably don't want you around. He's the most talented player in the country, but a locker room destroyer I think. Ja Morant 2.0 incoming to the NBA. But anyway, this Cougar defense might give Peterson a real reason to leave the game, with how physical they are. Kansas also gets Arizona next. So the spot is actually favorable for the Cougs.
