I was just curious how many people here in this forum do this for a living? Not a tout but actually bet on games on your own and make your living at this? I for one don't myself at all, just curious if any of you guys do. Be honest please.

I dont think its possible unless you are just lucky for life. I wouldnt do so bad but I cant manage money or just not bet on something. I built up almost 4k this week and got drunk and pissed it away last night in about 5 hours of betting.

It is my part time job. Still work part time with the stock market on my own but almost fully retired from that. Used to trade Wall Street for years.
If it wasn't for my bookie who I've grown to trust and lives in Vegas then I wouldn't be doing this for $$$ Don't trust any of those online sites if you are playing for big money.
I fly to vegas every year for the first weekend of the NCAA tourney and usually another time in the year (sometimes super bowl)
Biggest bet I won was when I put $10,000 on Saints ML in the super bowl
I can tell ya from experience, don't quit your day job if your not retired and well off. I've been fortunate to be able to do this for a good amount of $. but like the others said, money management is key. On here there are people worried too much about a single game and you can easily see who are the people betting $5 on a game and who are betting thousdands. Just my two cents - I am sure I will be called a liar and asked questions why I am in here but anyone who has seen me in and out of threads has heard my answer to that

I have for a couple times in my life, once for about 2+ years, but I have poor money management and needed to get a job after that time. Part of it was because my book stopped paying (sportsbook.com) and started bouncing checks. Then I started with another book and was having to stress SB.com and that ended up fucking up my mojo. I think that's why these online books do shit like that, to fuck with you. I have had ones limit my bets (beted) to not paying, to holding funds because they claimed they thought I was a pro-gambler. I did everything from spreads to teasers to ML bets and they tried to claim they were holding it because they thought I was a pro. I think you really do need to be in Vegas and gambling takes it toll too much.

i dont do this for a living, i work for the federal government, i dont complain--much-- about my monthly income --- but i do have a nice extra income from sports betting--my only losing season were my first 2, since then ive been cashing from 30k to 120k wich has been my winningest season so far , and i dont live in the US and i dont start with huge bank rolls i start with 1k each CFB and NFL seasons wich is the sports i bet most on..then some spare change on CBB and thats it, why i am saying all this----because u might not do this for a living--- but if u have enough discipline and knowledge of ur stuff u can hit over 65% and have a nice extra cash per season
