SU winners: 2 OT record: 1-0 Record on the open: 4-1
Notes:
-Miss State was just overmatched. Rarely do you see me lay 14.5, but it was over after the 9-0 start pretty much -As embarrassed as I've ever been to be a UT alum. It's almost sickening to have to root for teams Rick Barnes coaches (and i've had to do it twice being from Providence originally) because he sits on the sidelines and makes his kids "play through it" when his criminally young team is floundering to a D2 squad. This loss either brings them together or we are going to have chemistry problems for the entire season. Please don't give me a repeat of 2010 (my senior year) when we went from #1 to an 8-seed and lost first round -Butler stole a game from Marquette -Ucla is going to have to figure out to play together and it will take a while with all the talent (egos) while not playing D

...wish I had seen USC +3, stupid work. Texas is unbettable until myck is back and even then may be. Think the 14-consecutive tournaments ends this year (which I predicted preseason)

What are your thoughts on Illinois -14? It seems like this line is a bit low given the blow out win they had last night over your Alma Mater. I feel like the Illini could and should win this one by 20+.

If they shoot like they did then yes it won't be close, but I'm not sure they can do it two nights in a row. Chamanide seems like a decent team this year, but they probably played the best game they could against a team that wasn't prepared well and it showed. I would lean Illinois if anything

-Got a little of this at 7 but most at 6.5 so that's what it'll be. Basics behind this is a slow-paced game where two full possessions means a lot combined with a big advantage inside. Tony Mitchell is enigmatic but he has proven he can perform against weak frontlines and I think UVA has one of those. Tony Bennett's team will play a ton of defense and will grind you out, but the Mean Green return their top-6 and that means a lot against a Hoos team that rarely has depth. The goal on defense is to limit Joe Harris and if UNT can do this I think they have a chance to win the game.
