Notes: -Initial leans were 5-0 yesterday, feels like last Saturday where I picked the wrong ones to play (though 2-1 yesterday and 1-0 Saturday aren't awful) -Something was fishy about VT and I knew it from the beginning, yet i couldn't figure it out after a long look and played it anyways. That's twice now that BC has beaten me, this time because the Hokies were down to 6 scholarship players thanks to a sick Robert Brown. Erick Green has never been someone I was impressed by, but he's all alone in the scoring column -Auburn and TAMU seemed to hold on, maybe the SEC is a good place for me to spend some time this year as everyone is similar then there's Florida -UNLV played well at The Pit but made key mistakes late, took some bad shots and didn't get the benefit of a huge FT discrepancy nor the bailout -UVA clearly celebrated a win over a terrible version of UNC too much and is wayyy worse off with a split at home against UNC and @WFU

-Been against this SLU team all year after backing them for a - record in 2011-12 and I'm 1-1 so far in 12-13. Umass was a tad overrated coming into the year, but they aren't facing the extremely slow team that the Billikens were under Majerus. Crews is playing similarly, but RIP to the big man because he can't be matched. Umass has size and depth and will get points in transition off turnovers. That could be enough to win, nevermind cover 11. A little shy last night to play this after the Bills destroyed UNM, but Alford got ejected and I think it was more of the Lobos struggling to score than SLU running them out of the gym (and they still would have been close to covering this number).

add Utah +7 (-110) vs. Ucla -No tickets left on Stubhub as the most storied program in the conference makes its first trip to Salt Lake City. Utah is 0-2 in conference, but they played both Arizona schools tough on the road last week and looked like a team that could have given Arizona its first loss if it a late 3pt shot rattled the right way. They are sacrificing height here as I doubt they use their big lineup and play two 7-footers at once, but if they are in trouble and the Wears are killing them inside then I think they can do it. Utah plays a very slow pace and we've seen already this year that that type of gameplan overrides the sprinters, but I've yet to see Ucla slowed down since Muhammad and Anderson became eligible. I'm thinking the limited depth on the away team due to Smith and Lamb transferring will get them in a slower game where Utah's elevation advantage may affect the jumpshooters.
