Lots of games on a NCAA Saturday, good times... Hope you all had a good day yesterday, went to bed Mizzou was up 9 and thought it was over, knew that would be a crazy, tough game to pick....
South Dakota State vs. North Dakota State. 8 point spread here, South Dakota State is definitely good enough to stay within 8 and even win outright. However, coming off a big win over New Mexico, possible letdown. The rivalry should offset some of this emotional letdown. SDSU won both games last year, including an OT win at NDSU, thus big revenge on the minds of the Bison. SDSU shot well against the tough D of New Mexico, can they do it again against a tough Bison D?
Fordham at GT. 13 point spread here. Fordham is playing better lately after getting Gaston back. GT is a young team, and have played a weak schedule. GT can play some good D, but can they win big? Fordham was getting destroyed by UConn but made a crazy backdoor cover. Fordham is 8-2 ATS, will it be 9-2 after today?
Santa Clara at Duke. At 19 points, I feel this spread is 5-6 points too high. Santa Clara is a legit team this year in my opinion. If Foster shoots 50% from the field today, this game will be in single digits, we know he is going to shoot 25+ times today. But Duke can easily they turn a 5 point game into a 20 point game in 3 minutes at home. Duke is a machine, hate going against the best coach of all-time and Plumlee is a beast. I took Elon and they covered 24, can Santa Clara cover the 19?....
If I had to take a favorite, I would probably jump on the UNC bandwagon. Revenge from last years loss in Vegas, both team full of young players gives a big edge to UNC playing at home. UNLV coming across the country to play a 2:00pm game (11:00am for them), real tough spot. UNLV's big men have an advantage here, but UNC will push the pace and neutralize that. Can we fully trust UNC to play a good game and score consistently against the tough UNLV D? I think....
Good luck and use your winnings wisely, be back with my final pick/picks....

UNLV arguably has more talent. Thought McAdoo would be more dominant this year. Still think it is a tough spot for UNLV. Meditating over the games, as of now I think South Dakota State will be my play.

Sdst is down to 6.5 now. I like unc and Fordham. I know it is tough to back the heels but they do play much better at home than on the road. As far as Fordham goes, ever since that Uconn game they have really seemed to pull it together. I am from Dayton Ohio and Gregory was the coach at UD here forever. He doesn't really strike fear in me as a coach. Anyways, thank you for your insight.

Ive watched UNC a few times this year and they just dont have a killer instinct and they play very soft defense. The travel, the revenge and the game time are all scary, but UNLV is the better team. Im going to go small on UNLV but best of luck to you. Good breakdowns. Like the W&M pick.
