Getting one in early for tomorrow, which I will copy over to a new Friday thread if/when I add more plays for Friday:
Buffalo +7.5: Buffalo goes to Toledo in the regular season finale knowing they MIGHT have to win to qualify for the MAC tournament. That actually might be a good thing since Buffalo has been a much better road team in conference play.
Here's the situation: If Buffalo loses, and Central Michigan wins at Ball State, it would leave Buffalo, Central and idle UMASS in a three-way tie for the last 2 spots in the tourney. In the event of a three-way tie, it's decided by head to head records between the 3 teams. UMASS split with Buffalo and beat Central, so they're in. However, Central won their only meeting against Buffalo just 2 games ago. If Buffalo lose, and Central loses to Ball, then Ball moves into the three-way tie with UMASS and Buffalo. However, Ball is screwed because Buffalo swept them and they split with UMASS.
Bottom line: Buffalo controls their own fate with a win, but a loss and a Central win over Ball leaves them on the outside looking in.
Toledo does not have much to play for as they are already locked into the No 4 seed for the tournament. Ohio could tie them by beating Buffalo, but Toledo swept the season series to hold the tiebreaker.
Buffalo has played all the top teams tough in the MAC and with their season potentially on the line here, I think they come out and empty the tank at Toledo. I might drop a bit on the ML as well. Note that the 2 games of note both start at 7 pm ET. Going 1 full unit Buffalo Bulls +7.5.

NC Asheville +1: Quarterfinal game in the Big South tournament with two 8-8 teams. Longwood comes in hotter but Asheville swept the season series from the Lancers. Asheville, projected to finish 2nd behind High Point in preseason polls, was pretty underwhelming during the season. However, I think their star power shows up in the tournament. Star guard Kam Taylor is arguably the best player in the league, and backcourt mate Justin Wright and forward Toyaz Solomon give them the kind of "Big 3" you need to go on a long run in the tourney. It's a team with a great tradition that should be better, and as they play their first elimination game, it truly is now or never. Longwood is a solid team and first-year head coach Ronnie Thomas has done a real nice job, and they certainly played High Point much tougher than Asheville did, but I'm going to take a chance that Taylor and Co. step it up a notch and deliver the goods and move Asheville on to the semifinals. 0.5 units.

Ok adding one more before sleepytime:

Bellarmine +7.5: Gonna take a stab on the Knights here. Central Arkansas's Swiss army knife Cole McCormick missed the last game due to injury and if he can't go, that's huge. Bellarmine definitely has the offence to keep up here, the question is whether they can get enough stops. 0.25 units.

Buffalo just couldn't get it done, but I imagine they were tuned into the fact Central Michigan was getting smoked by Ball State. So Buffalo gets in the conference tourney anyway. Hope they get their asses kicked.
NC Asheville found a way to get that done, though it didn't look good for a lot of the 2nd half ...
Still been a very profitable March so far. Not gonna get discouraged by a subpar day.
