Yeah if there was maybe 5 more minutes left in that game it could have gotten much worse. It was clear that Upstate was running on empty in the last 10 minutes of the game...

Travis Wear will not play tonight because of an infection on his foot. Going to probably see a lot of Brendan Lane tonight. More good news for EWU backers....

Seriously, nice hit.  I missed the 2nd half action and was glad for the first 10 minutes...was kind of surprised it hit.  well played

When I played Ohio St i was guaranteed to do no worse than 1-2 on the 3 bets in that game. I was more than ok with the risk involved to attempt a 2-1 or 3-0 slate on 3 flat bets. Thak you for the kind words...

Wow i Eastern Washington is slowing this game down on purpose in teh early going. They are literally holding the ball on offense waiting for the shot clock to go down....lol

Cliff Coliman (EWU's point guard) keeps looking back at his coach Jim Hayford on every possession. The coach is telling him to slow the game down yet you can see it in Coliman's face that he wants to be let loose. This is very unorthodox attempt of style play by EWU. It will be interesting if Hayford sticks with this the rest of the game....

I can't believe ewu is playing this style tonight. They can take them off the dribble at anytime. If they don't change this tempo in second half  they are screwed.

I wouldn't go that far as to say they are screwed. Here's my assessment on the 1st half so far. Jim Hayford has coached his team into a hole as he clearly was trying to shorten this game with lengthy possessions. Fortunately UCLA sucks and has only been able to manage just a 10 point lead them selves through this horrible offense output from EWU. If UCLA was any good they would be up by at least 20 right now, and they are not. The pace has picked up and hopefully Hayford notices that and lets em go in the 2nd half...

Still too many turnovers by EWU.  Just bad plays too...not like UCLA really causing them.  Just watched the last 5 minutes of first half and saw EWU throw the ball out of bounds 3 times....and then allow a dunk to end the half.  Someone else said it earlier...they can take UCLA off the dribble anytime..and they have to heat up from 3...they can't shoot much worse.  I think it will be a nailbiter til the end now after that pathetic 1st half.

I would lean towards the over 69 for the 2nd half but i'm not touching it. UCLA looks a lot worse than score board suggests right now and EWU gave UCLA easy basket's the whole 1st half. Riding this thing out....

Difference in the game so far is 3 pointers. 1-10 EW 4-7 UCLA. Hopefully they start hitting them in the 2nd half.

Yeah I am just frustrated because I have watched this team (ewu) play a couple times this year and they don't need this style or tempo. Seems they played better towards the end. As you stated hopefully coach sees it and opens it up a bit.

Both teams look like shit IMO. UCLA was also throwing the ball away too. Neither team is capitalizing. The only concrete thing that can be said is this IMO. If EWU comes out the 2nd half like they normally run things (a much faster pace)? That could prevent a bigger struggle from UCLA IMO. However that remains to be seen. Just a tough 2nd half to cap IMO not knowing what to expect at all from a strategy standpoint...

I think a big factor is that Pauley is under construction so they're playing at the Sports Arena.  No one from UCLA wants to drive all the way out there for the games.

It's like the Rose Bowl.  It's hard to drive an hour from campus to get to the games.

I knew their home court was under construction but the Sports Arena is only like a 15 minute ride from Pauley Pavilion. Jump on Highway 10 to the 405 and bam your their. They have no fan base currently. Plus it is exam week too...

Ohio St 2nd half -12 for 10 units...


3-1 on the night netting +8 units...


EWU out rebounds UCLA 33 to 25 and 14 to 4 on the offensive glass and lost because of their willingness to play a slow game in the 1st half. They never recovered...
