Early leans:Western Mich -1... ( None of Detroit&#x27;s wins are against a D-1 team with a winning record...)BC -6...( Looks like possibly a good spot to lay the chalk @ home as Providence has beating a bunch of patsy&#x27;s to get to their 9-1 record. Their only win with any significance to me was against RI, in which RI is not the same team of the past IMO. Providence&#x27;s only loss is to La Salle on a neutral court by 11pts leading me to believe their is good value in taking BC...)Still looking though...

The Air Force @ Wright St match up is actually a very hard one to figure. I&#x27;m sure most will see that Air Force has won their only true road game this season over Wofford (who is actually ranked higher than Wright St.). However I think that relying on Air Force to continue their success on the road couldn&#x27;t be asking allot here. I will lean to Air Force only because of the very weird spread of catching 7 pts, but don&#x27;t think I will take them as all good things will come to an end...)

Lean to Western Kentucky as Bowling Greens only win was vs the non ranked opponent of Ohio Dominican. While they have 7 losses this season with one of which that came in the first game of the year where Bowling Green lost to Howard the 338th ranked team who's only win was against Bowling Green. So I will lean to Western Kentucky but those points could definitely come into play. I think this spread will most definitely get bigger...)

Arkansas &#x2B;4 must be a thought as well as since Jeremy Hazell went down went a broken wrist in Seton Hall&#x27;s victory over Alabama in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam on Nov. 19. Sine then the Pirates offense has looked more than sluggish to say the least. The next 2 games the Pirates only shot 42 for 116 just 36% before handling St Peters in their last game by 20 but still not shooting well as they shot 27 for 67 for 40. So in 3 games since Hazells injury the Pirates are shooting just 37.7%. I love how he has failed to show up on covers injury list so far now that hes been out for 3 game&#x27;s...)

Callahan hall on UDM&#x27;s campus in detroit is about 1 hour from my house and since my wife graduated from their I get the luxury of heading down their to the campus grounds on more than one occasion each year. I got to see one of their practice&#x27;s their earlier this season and maybe im a little bias as I wasn&#x27;t impressed at all with what Ray McCallum has done with this team since Perry Watson left. Detroit has some talent but their hasn&#x27;t been any structure to or discipline in a UDM basketball jersey since Watson&#x27;s retirement. Since Ray McCallum&#x27;s arrival the Titans are just a mere 9-26su on the road...So maybe this is the year they turn the corner as a team. But after I saw that practice earlier this year I have my doubt&#x27;s for sure. Western Michigan @ home will be no easy win for them....

It doesn&#x27;t look like Antoine Mason is going to play for Niagara tongiht as he has been down graded to doubtful about 14-15 hours ago. But if he is listed as a go you can rest assured I will be placing a big wager on Niagara however I still may snag the points in that one as although Niagara has struggled this season Buffalo is no team used to covering this kind of number as they were only DD favs last year 3 times covering only once and so far this year with a sos rating of 303 they have only been favored in 2 of their games going 1-1su and 1-1ats in those games. Their may just be too much fade hype here in this one as everyone will be looking to fade Niagara and that 1-6ats spread is going to attract a lot of faders. Not in this spot for me though...

I&#x27;m convinced right now at this point in time this 0-7su and 1-6ats record that Spartans are sporting is way more on the side of a product of their sos which stands at 79th right now. Their opponents records this season so far is a combined 36-20su with losses to notable teams like Forida St &amp; Virginia Tech. The only team that had a losing record that they lost to was Wofford (4-5su) , who&#x27;s 5 losses were to Minny, Clemson, Georgetown, Air Force &amp; Xavier.  Maryland is coming off of a tough loss to Temple and with BC on deck I have to believe that at some point they will be giving the Spartans a second chance to backdoor this spread if it even needs to be done so....POD

Duquesne @ Wiscy-Green Bay... Their is no real identity yet for Duquesne IMO as they have completely waxed the floor with 3 scrub teams and lost to 2 solid teams and a loss to Robert Morris which is the question mark so far. But it&#x27;s also yet to be determined on Robert Morris as they have been giving more than teams problems as well. Hard to justify taking the dukes as road favs here in this spot but I will lean them unjustifiably.

They are always a physical team and they should own the glass in this game but I think all we need is for Greensboro to hit 55-60 range and we should be good. Anything beyond and it should be and easy cover because I don&#x27;t see Maryland putting up 90 in this one.

2nd play is:Eastern Michigan -1 for 10 units...  5th year player Brandon Bowdry (20ppg 9rpg 44%fg) is more than a go to player for EMU and in a game like this on his home court I feel he can more than help his Eagles defeat the Bulldogs. The Eagles and Bulldogs are both having trouble&#x27;s on the road this season as they have both combined to go 1-10su in games away from their home courts. The Convocation Center in Ypsilanti, MI should be a nice welcoming present for the struggling Eagles as they were 11-4su their last season. Drake is really starting to show how important the losses of Josh Young &amp; Adam Templeton are this year as those 2 averaged over 30mpg last season playing 4 straight seasons for the Bulldogs. They just seem  to be struggling to find options on both sides of the ball as only Ryan Wedel is averaging 30mpg this season for the bulldogs as they have been tinkering with the lineups to try a rhythm. The Eagles should bounce back at home tonight...POD#2

Illinois St. has feasted off of bad teams at home all season as they are 6-2su with wins over the 341, 277, 241, 313, 290 &amp; 220 ranked teams in the country. The one time they have went on the road they lost to Arkansas Little-Rock (ranked 206) by 9pts. And their other loss they got absolutely demolished by the UNLV Rebels by 31pts on their home floor. The Ohio Bobacts should not be taken lightly as they are coming into town ranked 147 and playing a sos rating of 49th overall so far as their opponents records are 33-18su combined so far. This bobcat has a good nucleus of players with 3 returning starters from last year in D.J. Cooper, DeVaughn Washington &amp; Tommy Freeman. I like where the Bobcats are headed and feel their is good value in the pts in this game as they should have a great shot to win this road game as 3 of the Redbirds top players from last year are no longer their...POD#3

The more I am inclined to possibly take them as their is definitely some hype that comes along with the squad they have. Ray McCallum&#x27;s son Ray McCallum Jr was a top recruit for the Titans and at some point you would think that things will start to click for him and the Titans..https://www.detroittitans.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=943https://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/44125/ray-mccallumThose were just a couple articles that were written on Ray Jr. Western Michigan may be wishing they still had David Kool in this game. Those losses for Detroit on the road to New Mexico, Miss St &amp; Syracuse don&#x27;t look all that bad IMO and their only hiccup seems to be their home loss to Akron who is 4-1. I think that Detroit will come to play in this game and be able to clobber WMU in the talent department...POD#4I&#x27;m 1-0 on Titan plays this season as I faded them laying points against Albany. I think that WMU may just go flat in this one...
