This profiles as a classic Big Ten grinder. Rutgers ranks outside the top 260 nationally in tempo, and Penn State isn't pushing pace either, so possessions should be limited. Rutgers has also struggled finishing inside, ranking near the bottom nationally in home two-point percentage, which caps their ability to punish Penn State's road defense. Just as important, both teams tend to operate deep into the shot clock, producing a steady diet of contested jumpers instead of easy transition looks.
