This number looks a little inflated for the way Houston plays. The Cougars dictate tempo with elite defense, allowing just 67.5 PPG and forcing opponents into long half-court possessions. Oklahoma State also comes in short-handed on the glass with Parsa Fallah out, which removes a key source of second-chance points. That's a bad combination against a Houston team that thrives on controlling rebounds and slowing games down. If the Cowboys can't generate easy buckets, this turns into the kind of defensive grind that keeps this total below this number.
