I know its a long season left, but the potential of this team could make them one of the best teams of all time

My answer, not even close. Not even top 10 ever, yeah they look like men amoung boys because their kids have stayed in school. Back in the day almost everyone stayed 4 years. This could be the best team of the decade and even that's a stretch.

My guess would be NC too, but I agree no way are they even in the top ten of all time. They do have potential to be good, but lets not get carried away, nuthugger!

Top 10 of all time is a stretch... they are a very very good team though.  They are doing this without Ginyard who is a key part of their team, and Psycho T is not yet 100%. 

There have been other great teams this decade... UConn with Ben Gordon and Okafor was a very solid club

this is even the best unc team of all time. they may go undefeated and they will win it all. but for my money the best unc team was 1984. jordan and kenny smith in the backcourt. brad daurghty at center and sam perkins at power forward and matt doherty at small forward. on the bench you have joe wolf a very good college player.just my opinion. the 1982 team with jordan worthy perkins were champs and very good. under the dean system it was all team play.

How can we be discussing them as one of the best teams of all-time when they aren't even the best team in the country this year?  Does this mean that Louisville is the best team in history?

1. I was talking about UNC
2. I said they had the potential to be one of the best so relax there TROE
3. They have their top 7 guys back from a team last year who made the final four and was the favorite to win it all
4. Kyle McAlanrey just hit 10 fuckin 3's and they still won by 15 points

What sets UNC on a pedestal that is so much higher than Louisville?  I don't give a shit if they've got their top 7 guys back.  They choked last year as the favorite, and they'll choke this year as the favorite again.  The media, and most of the public, will be absolutely shocked when they lose, and they shouldn't.  This team isn't that much better than UConn or Louisville. 

Keep riding this UNC train, just like the media is riding Hansbrough's cock.  Give me some ridiculously inflated lines to cash in on.

carolina is hands down the best team in the country. Hansbrough is the best college player, lawson is if not the best pg he is in the top three. danny green is the most underated player in the nation, he had like 6pts tonight. ellington is one of the best shooters in the nation. dion thompson might be the most improved big in the country. ginyard is a great defender, and 2 solid frosh ,one at the point and one at the four. not to mention will graves could start on a lot of teams

They just beat the #8 team in the country by 15 points bro, and that was after McAlarney hit 7+ 3's in under 5 mins to end the game.
 
Lastly, what sets them apart is that they are by far the deepest team in the country. There starting lineup is the first team All-ACC team. They are dominant inside with Hansborough and Deon Thompson, great 3 point shooting with Danny Green and Ellington, and the best point guard in the country with Lawson.

Lack of depth at point guard is not a good thing to have, especially when you are playing such an aggressive defensive team.

no offense but for once unc has a quality backup at the point larry drew the 2nd. no more q thomas backing up felton then lawson. as a heel fan i hated thomas, but drew is the real deal

Big East is so much better than the ACC.  Those 4 teams can all take the Heels on any given night, along with Cuse if their 3s are dropping."

I believe that is Notre Dame you would take straight up over UNC.  UNC just beat them by 15 without Ginyard... and UNC called off the dogs the last 10 minutes of the game

They still beat Louisville last year though, and have everyone back + some. I'm not as high on them as others, and don't think they are the best team of all time or anywhere close (might not even be top 10 of the past decade), but they are certainly the most talented team in the nation this year. That is without a doubt. They might not win it all, but they have the most talent.

Also, for this thread. UNC had a better team than this just 4 years ago. The 04-05team with Sean May, Marvin Williams, Raymond Felton, Rashadd McCants etc. would beat the current version. I can name at least 5 teams in the last 8 years that would beat the current UNC team.

Yea Louisville has proven a lot this year. They're 2-0 against South Alabama and Morehead State.

They cover all the inflated lines? They are 3-2 ATS. They beat Penn by 15 with a line of 32. So no, they dont cover all the lines, if you havent noticed.

Sorry man, i didnt go research all the games they have and havent. I just know from what Ive seen on tv and thats 3 games
