As good as their lines are and as good as their customer service is, I'm seriously thinking of leaving Pinnacle for their incompetency when it comes to issuing cheques. I've had problems with unsigned cheques (twice) with them before and now this is their latest stunt. I wonder if this is just a tactic to stall payments on their part.
I requested a cheque payout on Dec. 3rd, got it 3 days later and deposited last week. Everything was ok. Last week I requested another cheque payout, got it 3 days later and went to deposit it tonight. When I went to the bank I noticed my balance was off by $1,000. Looked at my transactions and saw that a cheque for $1,000 was returned (bounced).
Emailed Pinnacle and they said to send the cheque back and they will issue me a new one. I haven't received the actual cheque yet, my bank verbally notified me when I saw the discrepancy. I pleaded with Pinnacle to issue me another cheque because by the time I get the bounced cheque back and FedEX it back to Pinnacle it will take a while. I wanted to use those funds before Christmas. But it looks like this problem won't even be resolved before Christmas. Because of their "unintentional" accident I have to pay the price. Not only that, it was embarrassing to be told a cheque was bounced and then be charged a $40 service fee. Now I have to take time from my schedule and deal with this whole mess? Pinnacle is very bad at this and I believe they are doing this intentionally just so the payments can be stalled. Three times I've had a problem with them re: cheques. It's not an accident anymore. Totally unprofessional! And this is after referring 3 new clients (from my work) to Pinnacle last month even though they offer no bonus. They will never be referred by me again.
