A comment about Neil

Hello everyone: I don't have the pleasure to write to him, but my opinion I that he has given many winners to us. I have won good money with his plays and many of his comments come of a deep analysis (nobody does a similar job). Doing bets in many years, don't forget that the "luck" plays and important part. A rebound, a fumble, a "hot hand", a surprise bench, the courage of one team, unexpected results, etc, etc. Nobody can predict the future. My comment is because I have seen the last days that Neil is under a big pressure (maybe I am wrong), just because he is in a bad streak. But his reasonings were good, but sometimes we win, others lose. I think that we are here for one reason: win money!! Lets be better partners and criticize less. Before made a bad comments...how many winners have we posted? Ufhh! I remember the big money that I win with the Hofstra picks that neil gave to us (just an example). I find it rather amusing that most people who are what we call "bashers" never have any insight or analysis on a game. They simply state stupid shit like, "Lock of the Century", "GOY", "POY", "Inside Info", or some other bullshit about their Uncle harry who works at a book in Vegas and just had some sharp drop 50K on whoever. Trust me when I tell you that it takes time to (a)do your analysis, and the (b) type the shit on here. Why do it? I have always said for me that first and foremost it is about my Ego, and secondly, to share what I feel with the many, many wagerline friends I have made in the last year. Make no mistake about it, my Ego is as big as the room I am sitting in, and I will not lie, there is nothing like seeing 4,000+ hits on your thread when you post a winner! Everyone, and I mean everyone, hits a bad slide. Personally, I got pounded last night going 1-5 after going 8-2 the previous 2 nights. Shit happens. You get back on the horse the next day. Period. Now let's look at Neil (nropp). The guy is a class act. Quick, insightful analysis, packed with solid information and feel. Never brags, never cries "fix", never beats his chest. OK, so he got pounded 2 nights in a row, so what? He had solid reasoning behind his plays and was kind enough to type those reasons in this forum so as to help others make their plays. Whether yo9u like his plays or not really doesn't matter. The information he provides does. Just like in life, everyone worships you when you are on top, but be careful because one little slip will bring out all the crabs. Why do I say crabs? Picture this. When you throw crabs into a boiling pot of water and old bay seasoning what happens? One crab is always just about to climb out of the pot when wham! three crabs pull his ass down! It's the old 20/80 rule backwards. ie: 80% of people are miserable, unhappy, average at best people who are always trying to make the 20% who are happy, successful and content feel as miserable and worthless as they are. Neil will continue to do his thing. He may not always win more than he loses, but I can almost guarantee that he will always end up in the + column and he will always provide you with a reason to read his thread. Followed Nropps b-ball picks last year, and some football this year. The money lost the past two nights was just giving back a little of the winnings. Keep it up dude, many of us look forward to your analysis and plays.

Everybody no matter who they are goes through a rough stretch. I've made a small fortune in just about a year off his plays. I'd imagine a winning streak is just around the corner and when it happens I'll be ready to pounce. Conference play is the mans forte. ||an_cheers.gif' border=0>
