In this second game of the day (WBIT; neutral floor)
I have the higher rated Cougars prevailing SU at just over a 2 to 1 ratio vs. opps who are decent but not quite as good as they are. Specifically I have them at x2.3.....meanwhile I have Illinois failing to win SU vs opps that are rated at their level or slightly higher at a flat - 2x....or -2.0
So just a sliver over 2 to 1 chance for the LADY COUGARS...
But the moneyline is -220......right smack dab where it should be....meaning no value to either side.
I favor COUGAR's chance but not enough to justify the current line. I need an edge first, then I need a cushion. A key to my success. And in this game I would have neither, at the CURRENT pre-game lines...
If during LIVE ACTION it can get down to under -149 then I might buy in **IF** COUGARS are not like deer in the headlights and **IF** they are otherwise playing decent with fair boxscore metrics to back it up -- even if temporarily behind in score.....That's my thinking in most games....

Last year, the #4 rated HAWKEYES had upset the #1 Gamecocks on a Friday.
HUGE emotional high.....then you can guess what happened...
Two days later on Sunday they had a major letdown and lost by 17 to #2 LSU.
LSU led by 17 at HT and won by 17.
They made 11 3s .....which would be waaaaay above this year's avg of just 4.3
Last year they avg 34.6% from the arc. This year only 32.1%

First game up in a few mins, I have a slight lean to SYCAMORES in what is a virtual home game.
