If bettors had placed a mean avg of 5-units to win on all these *Best Bets (like several on this forum do with their picks) and at an avg of $1k each, then those bettors would be up over $50,000 after just one month of betting these.....I don't recommend anyone actually do that, but hypothetically those would be the results.

(aside from an early Jan 3-3, I took a 2 week break for football playoffs, and really began CBK Jan 24)

And some even claim to place lots of bets of 10 units or more!

So, likewise, my results would have yielded over $100,000 in just one month, if bettors had bet 10 units with my *Best Bets

(I do NOT recommend doing so)

Well that sucks.... Iowa held the lead all Q and the line on Terps went as high as +3.5+110 to win the game ....but I insist on getting +4.5 and it just never made it....Now the Terps have a 6 pt lead.....So I am off it unless luck changes

So OF COURSE....right after I don't bet on the TERPS at +3.5, they IMMEDIATELY go on a 25 - 4 run in the 2Q so far

Damn.   Terps (homies) were  down 15 - 20 late 1stQ and I could have grabbed them for +3.5 (off their pregame +1.5 dog status)  ....but I wanted one more point to take them full game.....with every possession all I needed was Iowa to score and make it a 7 pt lead then grab the homies

...since then,  Terps dominated 31 - 8

Anyhoo I point that out to illustrate a common strategy I use but don't often post.....It's won me much more than lost.

Similarly I favor  TEXAS to win at home tonight....but no way -7.5 spread!!

And -330 moneyline with not a great edge is too big even for ME!!

So like the TERPS game(Women) I will be looking for TEXAS to be down early on a lucky Cyclone run and hopefully grab them cheap as solid homies looking for revenge!   BUT NOT AT -330 or worse!  And def not the spread against such a good team......

And there ya go.....the revenge-minded homies - with the better record, mind you - were scooped up for cheap when down 6 early......then they went on a 16 - zip run to take a dd lead ....at home.....in a big game .....hellbent on revenge against a squad missing their #3 scorer

It will see-saw back and forth now, as these games always seem to, but the strategy was to get my choice at a much cheaper price, and I did.   So even an eventual -7.5 home fav upset loss won't hurt near as much....

One bet left....but actually I don't recommend it because of the heavy chalk to you.
NEVADA -425 *BB

This *should* be a blow out home win....It really should.........but something tells me the WolfPack are going to do the wrong thing and relax against the Spartans then get backdoor covered on the 9 pt spread. They might even take them so lightly they could face an embarrassing upset!!!....Won't surprise me at all if it does!.....Anything can happen in sports!!....hence I recommend extreme caution on the moneyline........for you.......not for me. LOL

However this is a good game to employ the above noted strategy for those not willing to risk -425 pregame.....There's no harm in passing on this game if the opp isn't there but if the same thing happens you may get NEVADA for considerably less early........just be careful as NEVADA is in a spot where a let down is certainly possible

BTW,  one HUGE caveat to my early game strategy (above).......be absolutely certain none of the top performers on the side you want is in early foul trouble! 

Uh-oohhh.   One could get NEVADA for really cheap as a heavy home fav now!   ONLY -115

But they are down 8 late in the first.....next few are critical to whether or not they have underestimated the feisty Spartans.... If they snap out of it at halftime, they should be fine.....

Well if you like the WOLF PACK here like I do, now is the time to get'eme on the ML for around -199 ratheer than the pregame -425 like I did. LOL

I won't increase my risk here but they look solid to come back now after a scare...

Very unlikely to have time to cap any games for Thursday as I am packing for a very early morning holiday flight. Me and 19 others (all colleagues from our National Guard days in the late 70s-early 80s) are going to enjoy a 7-day retreat/reunion among the palm trees and beaches.
