Pavlik vs Taylor

taylor was getting mire $$ placed on him as of yesterday, that is what was driving the line. They said they weren't sure whether it was smart money, or just average joes, but taylor is bringing in the money.

Lol, Miranda was the one who broke Abraham jaw that night, Miranda was hurt by Howard eastman with 1 punch and was dropped by Allan green , when Green decided to throw a puch, because he wasnt throwing a shit on that fight. You are crazy if you think Pavlik will ko Taylor that easy,Pavlik is in the BIG LEAGUES NOW, oh yeah Spinks and Ouma are tricky southpaws, so you cant compare Miranda or Zertuche because they are sluggers, and thay get hit easily.Whos the crazy now lol

yea how can you say Pavlik will knock out JT, when JT is a great counter puncher with his Philly Shell defense? He also took some hard shots from Hopkins during the fight. Also during the Miranda fight he put his hands down during the whole fight which JT won't do. Its like fighting Winky Wright with his defense (won't land a power punch out of him b/c of his gloves blocking his chin). I don't see a knock out at all from either fighters, I see a decision.

Green's knockdown of Miranda was a flash and he was off balance. Pavlik broke down Miranda with a series of hard shots over the entire fight. Miranda is a tough guy. No one can say different.
Anyhow, added another 400 on the draw (+1700). I agree Albo. I think this goes to the cards. People thinking that Pavlik will just walk though JT may be right, but I just don't see it. Usually, when elite matchups like this occur, they go to the cards...especially when neither guy has ever been beat, let alone stopped, before. That said, the over isn't an attractive bet for me because it's -130 or something. It may be the best BET (most likely to cash), but I think Pavlik by dec. and the draw are the best VALUE.
Good luck guys and enjoy what should be an exciting match.

I like Taylor to win by TKO in round 9-10......Pavlik has not fought ANYONE as good as Taylor and I just think he's in over his head tonight......I'm all over Taylor! ....GLTA!

I like 4-1 odds for Pavlik to win a decision. I know Pavlik is a knockout specialist, but Taylor will hang in there for 12 rounds. It could be Taylor's time to take the short end of a decision and set up a rematch as a PPV.

I have to choose more natural boxing talent over punch power and take Taylor.. especially with that big chip on his shoulder. I think Pavlik comeso ut firing but will start to fade as he realizes he cannot just pound JT and has a hard time dealing w/ the speed... JT in a very rare (and career defining) late stoppage!
Either way, a great night for boxing fans, cant say we have too many of those lately.
Taylor -140 2 units
Taylor inside the distane +300 1 unit
Berto (undercard) -350 1.5 units

Hey all, not sure if this info helps anyone but i'll share it with you. For the first time in his carrer, Jermaine Taylor has decided to train at Emmanuel Sterward's favorite location in a seclusive area at a rustic resort in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. He has been there training for over 2 months, hasn't seen his wife and kids during that time.
Now every boxer that Steward has trained at that location, not one of them lost a fight.
Fact is, during Lennox Lewis tenure with Steward, the one time he didn't go there and decided to train in Las Vegas, he lost by Knockout to Hasim Rahman.
For whatever this info is worth....GL all

you guys dont see that taylor is the best of the 2, he has looked bad against spinks and his other fights because the aukward style they have had, pavlik is taylor made for taylor, he will out box pavlik, his defense is to strong for kelly, and he is to fast for him, he is the better boxer of the 2, and thats just the plain truth of it, taylor cant lose, everyone has made the line so low betting on the great white hope, i would love to see him win, but my money is on taylor.

i have only called 3 championship fights wrong in 12 years, and i dont see this one being the 4th, and believe me i would like to be wrong, i always like to see a hard working young guy win, and even after he loses, he will still go on to be a damn good fighter.

It's a relateively standard play for me. If you're asking if it's one of those 100 unit "lock of the century" plays that is popular here... then no.

I feel this is a live dog - at +120, and +180 for the KO, I'm liking Pavlik more and more. Taylor wins running and jabbing, Pavlik wins in a fight. I think we get us a free fight on HBO.
