Rich they only things that concern me with Sugar is a) his age and b) how bad he looked against Mayorga. I Think Danno said it best. Berto reminds me of Jeff Lacy before he met Joe C. He will also remind me of Lacy after Sugar Shane!

As for FMM. I can't see how Pacquaio can beat him. Anything under -200 is a steal. Lets go Andre tomorrow. If Ward wins my +1000 pre super 6 bet will look like a steal!

Ward is practically an amateur, Kessler is the big name in the Super Six Tournament..
But hey.. youth and home advantage may win it for Ward.

dodger I am just saying I don't rate Berto, maybe the Lacy comparision is harsh but Jeff Lacy was once thought of as the next big thing. Berto is barely above the level of Urango, Collazo, Bradley, Nate Campbell, Diaz, Mallinaggi etc etc etc. He would be at the same level as Ricky Hatton. And I'm sorry if Sugar Shane us even at 75% at his best he wins this EASY!! -230 is a fcuking steal! Take it and thank me later. I have put a MASSIVE wager on this already. It will be the first fight of the new year where I will advise my followers to bet big on it. I think they should take the -230. Come fight week this will be closer to -400..

I don't think Ward looked nervous, initially he looked a bit stiff.. waiting for his name to be announced, realize this is a home town fight so more pressure on him.

Finally glad to see two guys in their prime, same height, same weight, same reach... ( we haven't see that in a LONG time).

Ward looks like he's ever so ready, and Kessler should be a bit more confident he's been in the lime light before.

Realistically this is the first non sho box fight for Ward so lots of pressure on him but he was bred for this and it's his moment.

I don't see an under card listed, is the fight just starting at 10 PM (EST) and that's it? I would like to see at least one "okay" fight to set the mood for the night.

                                          

Personally BOTH guys are good fighters, Kessler has NO real name under his belt besides Calzaghe (which he lost). Ward has what some would call a fading Miranda when he fought him.

Overall Kessler is used to being on the big stage, in his country and everywhere he fought even though it was against sub-par opponents there was massive crowds to support him.

Kessler's style would be accepted in America very easily.. don't see any home town cooking especially since Kessler  contested one judge and had one he chose to judge the fight. So two U.S judges and one his camp chose.

Kessler's  style makes this for a clean fight to be judged.

This will be one of the better fights this year.. very evenly matched something becoming very vague in boxing lately.
                                              

Rich I have to agree a very intruging fight. As you know I am European. I have lived in 8 European countries for a 1 year stretch each time, I just love sampling different cultures. So you might think I am cheering Mikkel. Thing is I like Mikkel. He is a really likeable guy.

The thing is though I aint Danish and I love boxing so much. I respect fighters like Abraham and Kessler but if they were to win this its bad for the Super 6 and its bad for boxing.

Fighters Like Kessler and Abraham, nice guys, VERY technically sound boxers BUT. The European style of boxing does not inspire. How many Europeans are on the P4P list, the all time list!? Very few. This tournament needs to create a new superstar. I pray Andre Ward is that man. If not this tourament could get very boring very fast. A Ward win really sets this whole thing up. Dirrell would get great solice from a Ward win and I like Dirrell against Abraham I really do, especially if Ward wins. Dirrell would do what Taylor did for 5 rounds but do it longer. He is a nightmare matchup for AA...

I am sure Ward gives a great account of himself tomorrow. I hope he does even better then that

Kessler has beaten 3 guys who were top 5-10 when he beat them at 168. He didn't just beat Andrade and Beyer he destroyed them. Then he beat Mundine clearly as well. These guys are all better than anyone that Ward has ever faced. Ward just don't impress me and I don't like how he takes punches.

I believe Kessler will take out Ward. They also switched two of the referees. Now it is two referees from USA and a Swede and South African.

Anyway you guys say he lost to Calzaghe. Yeah but remember Calzaghe is perhaps one of the best in a very long time. What made him magical was his glove speed. He simply out punched Kessler.

Mikael you will see very few board members say that Kessler is not very good. He is. But he is NOT special. If he wins this tournament then its because the Andre's were never good ennough at this level, Froch is too one dimensional and Abraham like Kessler is Very good but Nothing special. I guarentee you that if Kessler fought B-Hop he would lose a VERY one sided decision. Calzaghe showed Kessler can be outboxed. Yes Joe was good but I guarentee you Chad Dawson would do the same to Kessler. So would Paul Williams.

Kessler can only go so far. He will never be a all time great and in my eyes he will never be high up on the pound for pound list today. If the Andre's are exposed as way out of their depth then this tournament will not produce a new superstar. Dirrell has potential that I know and if he can fight in a more postive manner then he could cause a surprise against AA.

Ward in my eyes has all the natural talent in the world. If he can preform at the highest level he will reach a standard Mikkel can only dream off. However I have seen MANY naturally gifted boxers not being abkle to cut it when the heat is on. Its not easy to be great. I myself had many fights as an amateur and no one respects these guys more then me. To even get to that level is an awesome achievement.

It seems we have 2 nice, sincere guys fighting tonight. Looking forward to it

yeah we are playing Ward on potential..Always risky. I just always want to be on the side of the up and comer. These are the bets I lose money on normally. But the ones that do hit are sweet.,
