When u throw as many punches as Joe Calzaghe does, your bound to get tired. Especially fighting against a fighter like Hopkins where Joe isn't going have clean shots on Bernard. Sure he fucked up Lacy, but hopkins isn't Lacy. Calzaghe last couple of fights were against fighters who didn't have any defense. which made it a cake walk for Joe Calzaghe to throw easy clean shots. Unlike Calzaghe's previous opponents, Hopkins defense is sick. Another point I wanna make is Calzaghe's power. Every fight I watch on Joe, It seems like his punches don't pack any punch. He only hurts his opponents wit numerous punches being thrown which he isn't going land consistently on hopkins. In my opinion, Joe throws punches like a BITCH. Pick B-Hop.

You sound like Dan Birmingham before the Lacy fight. Calzaghe fights 3 minutes of every round, and he doesn't fade late. Hopkins tends to come on strong late, but he gives rounds away early, and that will be suicide against Calzaghe. Who are you claiming doesn't have any defense? Kessler is a very sound boxer defesnively, and he certainly hits harder than Hopkins. Your post seems to conclude that Calzaghe won't be able to stop Bernard, and you won't find any argument on that point. But there's a huge difference between B-Hop surviving 12 rounds and winning.

Calzaghe is already crying about the so-called dirty tactics Hopkins uses when he fights. I call it ring savy. The ref says before the fight begins "to protect yourself at all times". Hopkins has too and will turn this match into an ugly fight. Hopkins loses this fight if he gives away to many early rds like he did against J. Taylor. Other than that, I see Bernard winning by split decision.

NEWS FLASH: Hopkins is 8 years older than me. I'm not saying I could lace 'em up and knock him down but Calzaghe fights a flurry of punches style that will take advantage of Hopkins' weight lifting, muscle-bound aging body. Don't hold your breath for this one to go the distance. This fight is about $$ and Hopkins one last gasp before retirement. Calzaghe will have his in a year or so. Circle of life, kiddies.
