I agree 100 %, Marquez DOES like to mix it UP! If he chooses to simply BOX he could win easily. Simply Circle Diaz, but Marquez is a throw back fighter he wants to brawl. Even given all that and being in Houston I like JMM by decision. This is Marquez's fight to LOSE, he has pretty much EVERY advantage going for him except HOUSTON, Texas.

I do believe he will be dumb enough to TRY and mix it up with Diaz when he could easily do a Nate Campbell, but I see it being more of a mixing it up as not only is it better for us as fight fans but at least gives Diaz a chance to look okay in front of his home crowd.

Remember Nate Campbell OUT CLASSED him, and Nate was never an "Elite" fighter. Nate destroyed Diaz to the Body, and "broke" the baby bulls spirit, which is something he's done to lesser fighters.

Hombres.. i'm telling u it's going to be a battle. I kinda wish they didn't have to fight each other and would've liked to see 'Baby Bull" save himself for pac-man. However the Golden boy had to put it together which is fine because i'm exicted. I'm huge mexican fight fan and lately my roosters havn't looked to good. But tommorow i will be content to see the best warrior win. Diaz overwhelms with his combo's and has dicent "D" However jmm has mad skills with an uppercute,jab, lefthook righthook= JMM wins close, unless Diaz wont be able to handle jmm power 2unit

That's why I'm going for JMM ITD +419. JMM feels (and possibly rightfully so) that he's been screwed on at least 3 cards in his lifetime. . . Knowing he's in Diaz's backyard, I think he goes for broke here, and does all he can to put Diaz on the mat and leave all doubt aside.

Short and to the point. Diaz puts JMM to the canvas in the 8th after throwing non-stop to the body all night.

if i played jmm, i'd be worried about diaz being so busy... that style should suit jmm fine though...he's the best counterpuncher out there... i wouldn't be surprised to see diaz on the deck at least once in this fight...

Diaz +5 points @ -115 for 3 units

Like this play a lot, I can see Diaz bringing a lot of pressure on JMM and really forcing him to keep his composure. Diaz is the naturally heavier fighter and won't be afraid to take a chance to move inside, knowing that if he can consistently get there he will cause some damage. I think either way, its going to be a very close call if it goes to the cards and the fact that it is in Houston definitely won't hurt Diaz if it does. Considering that this one is has a chance of being an SD or even a draw, I'll lay the extra juice to get the handicap.

great fight, but I was worried from the start at how underconditioned Diaz was. There was no way he could keep up the pace of the early rounds for the whole fight in the shape he was in.

He always looks like that. He was getting ripped to the body. That was the problem. Marquez is unbelievable. I can't believe I bet against him. I deserve to lose my money.

Indeed great fight for fight fans.How Marquez let him stay in the fight and go to the ropes for too many rounds was beyond me. We all knew JMM was the "Technician" and it proved in the end.

Score cards came out and EVEN with being in HOUSTON fight was a draw BEFORE Diaz going to the deck twice.

Sorry Diaz's career is over, you lose twice on HBO in your home town, really now you're a stepping stone for other boxers.

Marquez needs to get over Pacman and fight someone else, Mayweather would destroy Marquez. Marquez cannot fight at this weight class the mere fact that a WEAK punching Diaz was able to push him around for a few rounds should let him know, go back down to your normal weight class.

I think going into the ropes was part of Marquez's plan, even though it looked like Diaz was dominating when they were in that position JMM was still landing the bigger punches. I thought that Diaz was up by 2 rounds before going down (factoring in that it was in Houston).

You are right about Diaz's career being derailed by this though, I'd say hes going to be the lightweight version of Cintron. Everybody knows hes a decent fight that can beat lower opponents but can't step up in real fights.

How does Duane Ford have Marquez up 2 rounds before the stoppage?

C'mon......at best for Marquez.....That fight was a draw. But up 2 rounds? You have to be kidding me.

Obviously, it is a moot point......But that is nonsense.
