George Russell's outstanding performance at Marina Bay will now make it four straight years that a different driver has captured the pole at the Singapore Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver will also now try to be the sixth straight different winner at the event.

Max Verstappen will start in second in Row 1, with his faint hopes at the overall drivers' title still intact. He'll start one place ahead of Oscar Piastri, who is closing in on that crown.

Let's dive into the latest F1 odds with my free picks for the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, October 5.

F1 Singapore Grand Prix 2025 pre-qualifying favorites

Lando Norris won this race last year and is a narrow favorite to repeat over McLaren teammate and Drivers' Championship favorite Oscar Piastri. Max Verstappen has never won this race despite his dominance in recent years, yet is a close-up third-choice to make it three straight victories on the season.

Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, and Kimi Antonelli round out the choices at less than 100-1.

F1 Singapore Grand Prix Prediction: Max Verstappen to win
(+125 at bet365)

Max Verstappen's name is dotted on almost every race and circuit leaderboard, but you won't find his name anywhere regarding this track at Marina Bay.

That's because the Red Bull driver, heading into Singapore in 2025, had never won, never taken a pole position, and never led a lap at this event.

So why now?

Well, he's ripped off back-to-back wins, taking the checkered flag at Azerbaijan and Italy, his best 2-race stretch of the season.

With precious few races still on the calendar, he's got to finish well in every event, with as much space between himself and Piastri as possible.

Red Bull has faced numerous challenges in getting their car to meet the demands of the track and driver early in 2025, so Verstappen has been producing results with a clearly inferior vehicle to the McLaren team, utilizing his competitiveness and racing guile.

Now that they've figured some stuff out, getting past Russell and staying there feels like a far easier challenge.

F1 Singapore Grand Prix prop pick: LeClerc Top 6
(-150 at bet365)

In truth, there's very little value on the board, with the books offering all the main characters little betting juice.

Our swing will feature Ferrari's Charles LeClerc, who has quietly moved up to fifth in the overall driver standings, despite not winning a race in 2025 and having just five podium finishes.

He's been fast at Marina Bay before, winning the pole here in 2019 and post-COVID in 2022, finishing second in both races.

He'll start seventh on Sunday and will have to move up just one spot to cash at -150. The obvious candidate to knock off will be wildly inconsistent teammate Lewis Hamilton, who starts sixth.

Hamilton's best finish is sixth in his last five races.

Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

  • Charles Leclerc +400

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $400 if Leclerc wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:

  • Max Verstappen -120

This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
