The Hamilton Tiger-Cats look to end their three-game losing streak when they host the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET (TSN) from Hamilton Stadium.
With Bo Levi Mitchell still out, the CFL odds have Saskatchewan as a 7.5-point betting favorite, and my Roughriders vs. Tiger-Cats predictions and CFL picks expect the defending champions to handle business on Aug. 15.
Who will win Roughriders vs Tiger-Cats: Roughriders -7.5 (-110)
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have had no identity without Bo Levi Mitchell behind center. Since his injury, Hamilton's offence has slipped to second-last in the CFL in points per game (23.4) and last in yards per contest (321.2).
Against a Saskatchewan Roughriders team that's the biggest Grey Cup odds favorite in the West, the Tiger-Cats won't be able to keep up. Saskatchewan is averaging 34.2 ppg and is one of three teams in the league putting up over 300 passing yards and 100 rushing yards per game.
All it takes to beat Hamilton at this point is a well-rounded scoring unit with a capable QB, which the Roughriders have in Trevor Harris, who sits No. 2 in the CFL in QB rating (117.2) and TD passes (19).
With a defence equally as strong as its offence, Saskatchewan is worth betting to cover by any spread below double digits.

Roughriders vs Tiger-Cats total prediction: Under 54.5 (-110)
The last time these two teams played, the Roughriders held Hamilton to just seven points, which is why the Under is in play at any number above 51.
Hamilton is averaging just 18.6 points per game since losing Mitchell to injury and has hit the Under in five of its last six games. Saskatchewan is allowing a league-low 26.9 ppg and 373.4 yards per game, and has held bottom-three scoring offenses to 16.3 ppg.
Even if Saskatchewan puts up 30+ points on the road against Hamilton, the Tiger-Cats aren't equipped to score enough to help cash the Over.
Roughriders vs Tiger-Cats same-game parlay
The Roughriders have the best defence in the CFL and have hit the Under in four of their last five games. As long as the D keeps up its play, the Tiger-Cats will struggle to score more than 17 points without Mitchell at QB.
Without scoring 20+, Hamilton won't be able to keep this game close. The Tiger-Cats have surrendered 27+ points in four of their last five contests.
