this guy is one of the worst regular players in the entire league. .297 obp and strikes out an astounding 30% of the time. how's that josh donaldson trade looking now?

The A's couldn't afford Donaldson's contract. So they went on the cheap and got that guy plus 3 prospects. It's the prospects who make it worth it for Oakland, regardless of whether they make it or not. It's how they roll.

lawrie was 1 of the prospects. donaldson is under team control for another 3 yrs. they cant afford him but can afford billy butler?
