Pittsburgh defense is the real deal, one of the best in the last decade. They played one of the toughest schedules in the NFL, and gave up 31 at Tennessee in a bad spot, 24 twice (SD & Indy) and less than that every other time they took the field. They'll be facing a hot offense against the Cardinals, and a QB that excels against the blitz. Forget running against Pittsburgh, it's not going to happen. But can you pass against Pittsburgh? Who gets the advantage in the coaching matchup, they know each other (Wisenhunt) How many can Zona score here? in the 20's, possibly.
I do think the other side of things is a bit lopsided, Steelers offense against the Zona defense. Teams have had little problem moving the ball against them, and doing it quickly at times. Ben has the talent and the personnel to take advantage of this mismatch. Receivers that can make plays after the catch seem to be a problem for Zona, and Heath Miller, Hines Ward (he'll play) and most of all Santonio Holmes can do just that. Ben is good at buying time and finding open receivers, and then he delivers. How many can the Steelers score? Will Tomlin grind it out or go for the kill?
Early lean to Pittsburgh, lots of time to make a decision.
Pitt can be passed on. So can ZONA. Both QB's got it folks. They just got it! Both have been tested before the fire, on and off the field!
Both offensive lines give them good time, ZONA had a huge lapse for a while after HALF vs. PHILLY.
to PHILLY for mad blitz after HALF yesterday. Can Warner create plays is a good question? 3rd Quarter vs. PHILLY was about as exposing to the what a good ole' blitz can still do to the older of the two QB's in the SB, as SD REC YDS vs. PITT, garbage time or not, PITT will let you get deep!
FITZ is best down field receiver, wish he had faster wheels
ZONA offensive line unit has now started every game this year together. I honestly haven't looked at PITTS games started.
Toughest schedule? So, most worn out, right?
Rushing offense will be huge in this game, can WILLIE RUN...
...the freak B DUB didn't do a whole lot yesterday running, can PARKER get good YAC? PARKER 1.9 YPR vs. RAVENS, ZONA giving up 4.1 in L3. Sounds like what the doctor ordered!
Fitz and Co. can!
Both SB coaches are studs.
Harbaugh and his challenges this post-season were
I must add!
Teams have had little trouble moving the ball, does this just stop happening in the SB?I would think not.
BEN is cool and really efficient at times, seems to know where to throw the ball when he is back peddling? Is this where ZONA wins the game, big, easy floaters BEN likes to throw out there?
YAC for ZONA wideouts and YAC vs. ZONA defense. Sounds like OVER here.
(not official pick!)
MILLER is drooling at the mouth after Celek's day yesterday vs. PHILLY.
Early lean also to PITT. I really wanna see ZONA win it. I would not be upset if the BURGH won either!
