Rookie Quarterback A:
12/18 for 115 yards- 0 TDs, 0 INTs (3rd Round)
16/27 for 145 yards- 1 TD, 0 INTs (Super Bowl)
Rookie Quarterback B:
11/20 for 155 yards- 1 TD, 0 INTs (1st Round)
Quarterback A was Tom Brady as a rookie when he won his first Super Bowl with the Pats and Quarterback B is TJ Yates. This shows that you can win playoff games with a young QB so long as he doesn’t turn it over and the team surrounding him is great. While Yates isn’t as good as Brady, one thing he shares with him is that he’s fearless, confident and takes over the huddle. So I don’t think that he’ll be scared playing in Baltimore.

The Texans won’t be nervous going into Baltimore for their first road game either. They already played the Ravens this season losing 29-14 in Balty (they were +7.5 underdogs in that one as well). That past game the Texans had Schaub, but no Andre Johnson. This time they have a rookie in Yates and Johnson, yet the line is the same even though they didn’t cover last time.
Even though the Texans lost the first matchup 29-14 they were neck-and-neck with the Ravens after 3 quarters being down only 16-14. The Texans know that they can play with Balty. In the last game, Mario Williams got injured the game before and arguably Houston’s best pass rusher in J.J. Watt made his first ever NFL start and got no pressure on the QB. Now, Watt is seasoned and playing great, I expect him and the Texans to get pressure on Flacco who can get rattled easily. The Texans are great against the run, I don’t think they’ll wear down in the 4th Q today since the last game they played Balty they were off of physical games with Pitt and Oakland. Anquan Boldin will not be as healthy this time around and Houston will be wary of Torrey Smith goin deep.
When Yates has the ball the Texans will need Arian Foster. I’m sure Kubiak has schemed better ways to get him open and I think Foster is too good to be held to 50 rushing yards again now that the Ravens have to worry about Andre Johnson. The offensive line of the Texans is one of the best in the business and having already played Suggs and Co. one they’ll do better at protecting the QB this time around.
The Texans are a proud bunch and a great team. The Ravens are amazing at home, but even on their main website and from the media everyone thinks they are a shoe-in to play the Pats. The Ravens are not amazing as they couldn’t get 1st seed after so many opportunities this year. With this being their first home playoff game in many many years I think they’ll feel pressured to beat an “easy” Texans team and we all know how Joe Flacco does under pressure when he’s expected to win. The Texans are a great team playing very loose and I don’t think they are content with just one playoff win.

I leaned the Saints -3.5 and luckily I layed off. I think unless you have almost no doubt that Balty covers and blows em out you shouldn't put much on this bet cause there's no worse feeling than going against your team and have them win aganist your bet.
I gotta hit Houston I really think they get it done. You've been right many many times before on Texans games compared to me so a blowout wouldn't shock me either.

Your analysis imply that HOU will be able to score on the Ravens with composed QB, beast Reciever, good OL, beast RB, and above avg defense. Considering other intangibles, i,e, weather, etc, it bodes well for the OVER. That is what I'm going with.
I do have my concerns about how composed Yates would remain as Ravens can bring it on D. I have seen big boys, like Brady, at home, crumble under that ravens D.
I hope that Taxens covers for you, it goes OVER, and you make it to NCF championship next week at the stick.
Finally, how about them NINERS !

Texans had Baltimore by the neck today. They outgained em, dictacted the line of scrimmage and in my opinion are the better team all around. However, the youth of Yates, who was pretty good today, evenutally got to the team with that one key interception and many red zone failures. That Jones fumble was gross too giving Balty a free 7.

Awesome yesterday, was on the bus home after watching the Niners game. Clicked the on switch and it was already 14-0. Love games like that.
