Canada, Russia co-faves for Olympic hockey gold

Since a deal was reached between the NHL, the NHL Players' Association, the International Ice Hockey Federation and the International Olympic Committee to send NHL players to the 2014 Winter Olympics, we can properly take a look at outright odds now that we know the best players on the planet will be in Sochi.

Since early on Monday, countries have been releasing lists of invited players to their camps to compete for spots on Olympic rosters.

Canada won the gold medal in Vancouver in 2010 and has invited 15 players to camp that helped win that gold medal. Canada has invited 47 players in all.

Russia, the host nation, has reportedly invited 35 players.

The United States, which finished with the silver after losing to Canada on Sidney Crosby's game-winning goal in overtime, has invited 48 players to camp.
