The Phoenix Mercury looks to complete a 4-game regular season series sweep when they host the Golden State Valkyries Friday night.

With Golden State desperate to stay inside the bottom of the playoff picture, our Valkyries vs. Mercury predictions and WNBA picks have Golden State going all out to try and secure a win, which should help push the total to an Over.

Valkyries vs Mercury predictions

My Valkyries vs Mercury best betOver 154.5 points (-110 at FanDuel)

The Golden State Valkyries looked like they was poised for their first franchise win against the Phoenix Mercury, building a 12-point lead at the half, but they couldn’t land the plane, eventually falling 98-91.

The Mercury won the rebounding battle by a +11 margin, outscored the Valkyries 14-2 in fast break points, and ended up +6 in points in the paint.

Phoenix has been able to solve a stout Golden State's defense, which ranks second in the league in points allowed at 72.5 per contest.

Phoenix hasn’t scored less than 78 in the three previous matchups and is averaging a crisp 87.3 points in the series.

Considering they took an 83-61 beating last time out in Vegas, they're fortunate to find themselves in a get-right game right away.

The Valkyries just haven’t had the firepower to keep up with Phoenix, as they are putting up just 78.2 points per game on the season, which ranks bottom three in the WNBA.

Phoenix has been able to speed up the Valkyries, playing at their top three pace, as opposed to the Valkyries, who rank last, and that’s produced plenty of points.

While the Over is 2-1-0 in the three games, these teams have combined for at least 155 points in every game.

Valkyries vs Mercury same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 154.5 points

Veronica Burton Over 11.5 points

Alyssa Thomas Under 15.5 points

Veronica Burton just lit up Phoenix for 24 points in the last game, and she’s been given a generous 11.5 scoring line Friday night.

She’s topped this total three of the last four games for the Valkyries and missed the fourth by a single point. I like Burton to stay in this current hot zone.

Let’s wrap with Alyssa Thomas, who fills up the stat sheet, but is a little less consistent with her scoring.

Her 15.5 line is a fair mark, and she’s gone Under that total five times in nine games. That includes a 13-point performance against these same Valkyries.
