The Dallas Wings will look to make it five wins in a row as they host the Chicago Sky tonight.

Dallas comes in as a 9.5-point favorite, and I’m taking it to cover the spread at home in my Sky vs. Wings predictions. Keep reading for a full breakdown and to get my free WNBA picks for Sunday, July 12.

Sky vs Wings prediction

Sky vs Wings best bet: Wings -9.5 (-115)

The Dallas Wings rank third in the league in offensive rating (110.9) and are especially efficient inside the arc, shooting 52.7% from two-point range. That stacks up well against the Chicago Sky, who allow 40.4 ppg in the paint, fifth-most in the WNBA, while also committing fouls at a 23.2% rate.

The Wings are coming off winning in front of the largest crowd in WNBA history, and I like them to get another big arena win at American Airlines Center. I like Dallas to cover as long as the spread doesn’t drift into double digits.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Wings have the WNBA’s best assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.89 and won’t be bothered much by a Sky defense that has a steal rate of only 7.1%, fourth-lowest in the league.

Sky vs Wings same-game parlay

The Over is another great bet for tonight’s game, as these teams have combined for at least 185 points in each of their first two meetings this season. Neither squad is all that great defensively, and with the Sky playing fast — they rank third in the WNBA in pace metrics — we should be in for another high-scoring game tonight.

Paige Bueckers has been hitting with regularity from deep in her sophomore year, shooting 38.2% of her shots from beyond the arc. Bueckers has hit 2+ threes in three of her last five games, and I like her to reach that mark in what should be a high-scoring contest.

Since joining Covers in 2022, Ed has offered his sports betting analysis primarily on MLB, NFL, college football, and college basketball games, but is willing to take on any sport.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
