Fresh off a big win over the Minnesota Lynx, the New York Liberty host the Chicago Sky on Thursday night.

The Sky have lost nine of their last 10, but with Angel Reese back in the fold, they’ll look to get back on track at Barclays Center.

My WNBA picks and Sky vs. Liberty predictions target Reese’s combo line against a thin Liberty frontcourt and predict a competitive, low-scoring affair in Brooklyn.

Sky vs Liberty predictions

My Sky vs Liberty best bet: Angel Reese Over 28.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110 at bet365)

Angel Reese was red-hot prior to sustaining her back injury, as she averaged 18/15/4 across nine games from late June to mid-July.

Since facing the Minnesota Lynx on July 14, Reese has appeared in just three of 13 games, but she returned on Tuesday with a productive 19/7/4 line across just 26 minutes.

Reese is probable to face the New York Liberty, and her minutes could tick up in her second game back after missing seven straight contests.

Reese has filled up the stat sheet more consistently on the road than at home this season, averaging 26.5 PRA at home compared to 33.1 on the road. In two matchups with New York, she hit the Over once, doing so at Barclays Center.

The matchup with the Liberty is a good one, as New York has surrendered the most rebounds per game to opponents and ranks middle-of-the-pack in points per game allowed.

Reese has cleared this line in 16 of 24 games overall, and I expect another productive showing from her on the road.

Sky vs Liberty same-game parlay (SGP)

Angel Reese Over 28.5 points + rebounds + assists

Sky +14.5

Under 164

The Chicago Sky rank last in net rating this season at -14, while New York is third at 6.3.

The Liberty have been solid for most of the 2025 campaign, but the team has weathered some recent rough patches with the absence of Breanna Stewart. Over the last 10, New York sports a -0.3 net rating with a 2-7-1 ATS record in that span.

New York is just 13-20-2 ATS this season, and despite Chicago’s poor play, spotting the Liberty 15 points is too much. With Angel Reese and Ariel Atkins expected to play, I’m betting on a competitive contest.

Chicago’s offense should be more potent with Reese in the lineup, but the Sky certainly aren’t high-flyers when it comes to scoring points.

Likewise, New York’s offense hasn’t been the same without Breanna Stewart. Over the last 10, New York has hit the Under seven times, and Chicago has hit it six times.

Chicago won’t win a shootout, so expect them to keep this one low-scoring as they cover the double-digit spread.
