The WNBA playoff race is heating up, with just 3.5 games separating seeds No. 3 to No. 9, and we could see more movement in today’s five-contest slate.

With Caitlin Clark still out, the game-of-the-day spotlight shifts to the battle between the Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream. There are some WNBA picks to explore there, and my Top 3 picks for the July 27 action include two savvy veterans.

WNBA player prop bets for July 27

  • Sparks Charles o7.5 rebounds (+156)
  • Sparks Thomas o8.5 assists (-105)
  • Sparks Collier o20.5 points (-102)

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Tina Charles Over 7.5 rebounds (+156 at FanDuel)

The Connecticut Sun’s WNBA-worst defense is coughing up 88.5 points per game, and yet Tina Charles is still finding enough opponent misses to deliver impressive rebounding tallies. I expect her hustle on the glass to continue in today’s clash with the Golden State Valkyries, and these plus-money odds for Over 7.5 boards jump off the screen.

Charles has found a different gear in July, grabbing 10+ rebounds in four of her last five outings and providing a rare bright spot for a team that drags a 3-20 record into this matchup.

The Sun face an uphill battle here against the relentless Valkyries, but Charles won’t shy away from that physicality, and she’ll be asked to do the lion’s share of the work around the rim.

She finished with six rebounds in 20 minutes in the teams’ other meeting this year, but she’s got a bigger role ahead today. With Charles logging 33+ minutes in five straight contests after falling short of the 30-minute mark in each of the prior seven games, I like the way her workload is trending.

Alyssa Thomas Over 8.5 assists (-105 at bet365)

All-Star weekend doesn’t seem to have helped the Phoenix Mercury, who entered the break at 15-7 but have already lost twice this week. Though the offense came unstuck against the Liberty on Friday night, it’s tough to point any fingers at Alyssa Thomas, who put up a 20-13-8 stat line.

I’m wagering on Thomas being at the center of the action again against the Washington Mystics, who face a quick turnaround after beating the Storm yesterday, and the Over on 8.5 assists has real appeal.

She leads the league with 9.4 assists per game, and there’s a case to be made for a better Mercury shooting day after missing 23 of their 30 3-pointers against the Liberty last time out.

Thomas has dished 37 dimes across her past four contests, and there’s a strong ceiling on this prop, with the do-it-all forward piling up 15 assists three times this year. Her playmaking is also the key for a bounce-back effort from Satou Sabally, who went 3-for-13 against New York.

Napheesa Collier Over 20.5 points (-102 at FanDuel)

Napheesa Collier has been on a mission this year, driving the Minnesota Lynx to a 22-4 mark and sparking two blowout victories since All-Star weekend.

Collier scored 25 points in 26 minutes in Friday’s rout of the Aces, and I’m banking on a similarly assertive effort tonight against the Atlanta Dream. She’s gone past this 20.5 points prop number in six of her past 10 games.

She’s got history against Atlanta, after dropping 26 points on the Dream in their late-June matchup, and it’ll be worth watching whether Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones can move their feet enough to hang in the Collier assignment.

This line feels generous when you consider that Collier is averaging 23.1 ppg for the Lynx in 2025. She’s shooting 52% from the field so far, and that kind of efficiency will keep this Over in range. Despite Courtney Williams’ very welcome heater for Minnesota last time out, this offense flows through Collier in the post.
