The Minnesota Lynx will be without DPOY Napheesa Collier tonight when they meet the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena.

Despite not having Collier in the lineup, my Lynx vs. Storm predictions expect Minnesota to pull off the slight upset.

Read on as I share my WNBA picks for Tuesday, August 5.

Lynx vs Storm predictions

My Lynx vs Storm best bet: Minnesota Lynx moneyline (+120 at BetMGM)

The Minnesota Lynx will be without WNBA MVP frontrunner Napheesa Collier when they face the Seattle Storm.

Collier anchors the Lynx offense and defense. Her absence is huge, but Minnesota still has enough depth, experience, and length to upset the Storm.

The Lynx went 2-1 SU without Collier earlier this season. Seattle is barely a .500 club (8-7) at Climate Pledge Arena. The Storm showedsigns of fatigue in Sunday’s 78-74 loss to Indiana and tonight marks their third home game in six nights.

Minnesota wins on the road (9-4). They boast the league's top assist/turnover ratio. Its league-best defense (95.1 NET) will miss the W’s reigning DPOY, but they will have just enough depth, size, and scoring punch to quiet the Storm.

Fortune favors the bold, and I’m taking the plus-money market and betting Minnesota wins for the eighth time in 11 games.

Lynx vs Storm same-game parlay (SGP)

Lynx moneyline

Kayla McBride 3+ made threes

Under 155.5

Kayla McBride knocked down eight triples Sunday in Vegas. We don’t expect a repeat, but knocking down three or more for the seventh time in 11 games adds value to our three-leg SGP.

These teams play slow-paced basketball and uber-tidy with the rock. Both squads rely heavily on points from turnovers, and without them, clearing 156 points is a stretch.
