Aspen Ladd is currently ranked No. 3 in the women's bantamweight decision but will be fighting for the first time in 20 months after recovering from a torn ACL and MCL. The 26-year-old had been one of the most promising young fighters in the UFC, and in her last appearance knocked out Yana Kunitskaya in December of 2019.
Ladd is 9-1 in her career with an impressive TKO win over former Invicta bantamweight champ Tonya Evinger on her resume. Her only defeat came at the formidable hands of one of the best female fighters in the world, Germaine de Randamie.
Ladd is a solid striker but her biggest strength is her offensive wrestling, where she uses powerful takedowns and vicious ground-and-pound to pulverize her opponents.
Macy Chiasson is the No. 10 ranked women's bantamweight contender and is fresh off a unanimous decision win against Marion Reneau in March.
Chiasson is 5-1 in the octagon and is one of the biggest female fighters around, entering the UFC in the now-defunct women's featherweight division and possessing a 72-inch reach. The 29-year-old is at her best on her feet where she can use her length and power in the striking exchanges.

PREDICTION: Fight to go the distance - No (+125) - Ladd isn't one of those wrestling specialists that just lays on her opponents and relies on control, she unleashes brutal ground-and-pound which typically results in finishes.
Eight of Ladd's ten career fights have ended by stoppage. Chiasson's defensive wrestling was exposed in her defeat to Lina Lansberg and if she can't keep this fight standing up, she will be battered on the ground.
That said, coming back from a torn ACL and MCL is incredibly tough in any sport, and Ladd's mobility might never be the same — and her striking defense was subpar even before those injuries.
