Daniel Zellhuber hopes a hometown crowd will push him back into the win column against the battle-tested King Green in our featured undercard attraction of this weekend’s UFC Fight Night in Mexico City.

Zellhuber is the favorite at -525 in the UFC odds, while Green is a +350 underdog.

My Zellhuber vs. Green predictions and free betting picks expect a tactical fight between two gifted strikers facing their own professional mortality on Saturday, February 28.

Zellhuber vs Green prediction and best bet

Fight analysis
Daniel Zellhuber wasn’t supposed to enter this matchup on a two-fight skid. In fact, the UFC likely booked his last fight against Michael Johnson as a showcase opportunity for the high-octane Mexican prospect, only for Zellhuber to come out flat and get outworked.

Now, with a Mexico City card providing another chance at redemption, he’ll need to be sharp against a savvy veteran in King Green.

On paper, this is a favorable matchup for Zellhuber. He holds a six-inch reach advantage, is 13 years younger, and carries far less mileage than Green.

Green’s visible decline in durability and defense in concerning. His unorthodox striking style has always relied heavily on reflexes, and as those have faded, he’s become far easier to hit.

Green remains creative and tricky, but his style has never been rooted in strong fundamentals, and the wear of a long career is beginning to show.

He’s been finished in each of his last five defeats, with four coming by knockout, and it’s taking less and less to hurt him.

Zellhuber may not be a devastating finisher or a grappling threat, but his length, volume, and movement should allow him to control the pace. However, his inconsistency makes this less of a lock than it appears.

Yet with Green’s declining durability, speed, and defensive awareness, this feels like the perfect opportunity for Zellhuber to steady himself and get back on track in front of a supportive crowd.

Best bet analysis
Both fighters thrive on activity rather than raw finishing power, and historically, many of their wins have come on the scorecards. Even with Green’s decline, Zellhuber’s most reliable path is controlling range, piling up volume, and avoiding unnecessary risks. My best bet is that the fight goes Over 2.5 rounds.
