Two high-octane featherweights are primed for an explosion when Doo ho Choi faces Daniel Santos in a fight between two offensive-minded battlers in the co-main event of this weekend’s UFC Fight Night.
UFC odds have pegged Santos as the -175 favorite, and Choi as a +135 underdog. While both fighters are coming off statement wins, my Choi vs. Santos predictions back the favorite.
Choi vs Santos fight prediction: Santos moneyline (-175)
There’s no doubt Doo Ho Choi has looked improved since returning from his four-year layoff, but those wins came against lower-tier opposition. Santos represents a major step up in both skill and danger.
He brings the more complete offensive toolkit and the kind of power needed to trouble Choi, who tends to brawl and absorb punishment to stay in striking distance.
While Choi’s size and toughness will keep him competitive early, Santos’ pressure and heavier shots should gradually take over.

Choi vs Santos best bet: Santos to win by KO/TKO/DQ (+275)
It’s going to take a lot of firepower from Santos to put Choi down, so it’s good that he’s shown that his power can carry over into the later rounds, as we saw in his most recent win over JooSang Yoo.
As the pace and damage begin to wear on Choi, Santos will find an opportunity to put him out late in the fight. My best bet is Santos wins by knockout.
