Last Meeting ( Nov 4, 2012 ) Miami 20, Indianapolis 23
The Indianapolis Colts are coming off a season-opening victory but that was not enough to assuage team owner Jim Irsay, who took to Twitter to tell the world he demands better. More specifically, Irsay put out a mandate that the Colts need to focus their attention on protecting their meal ticket, second-year quarterback Andrew Luck, entering Sunday's matchup with the visiting Miami Dolphins. Miami is coming off an impressive 23-10 victory at Cleveland in its opener.
Luck, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 draft, was sacked four times by the upset-minded Oakland Raiders but ran for the winning touchdown with just under 5 1/2 minutes to play - the eighth time he has directed a comeback win in the fourth quarter or overtime. Luck will be matched up for the second time with Dolphins rookie Ryan Tannehill, who was taken No. 8 overall in last year's draft. Tannehill threw for 272 yards and a score in the 23-10 victory over the Browns.

ABOUT THE DOLPHINS (1-0): The first order of business for Miami is to fix a running game that averaged less than a yard per carry and saw starter Lamar Miller held to three yards on 10 attempts. Wide receiver Mike Wallace, the high-priced offseason acquisition that was brought in to provide Tannehill with a deep threat, also made headlines following the game by grousing about his role in the passing attack (one catch, 15 yards). The Dolphins intercepted three passes and registered six sacks - 2.5 by Cameron Wake, who notched 15 in 2012.
ABOUT THE COLTS (1-0): Indianapolis appeared en route to a blowout last week after jumping out to a 14-0 lead and getting 11 straight completions from Luck, but the offense bogged down until Luck directed an 11-play, 80-yard drive for the go-ahead score to improve to 8-1 at home. Ageless wideout Reggie Wayne had eight receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown and needs one scoring pass to become the 13th player with 80 career touchdown receptions and 13,000 yards receiving. Defense was also a concern for the Colts, who allowed Oakland to possess the ball for nearly 33 minutes.
EXTRA POINTS
1. The Colts have won the last four matchups, with a margin of victory never exceeding six points.
2. Dolphins WR Brian Hartline had nine catches for 114 yards in the opener.
3. Luck threw for a career-high - and NFL rookie-record - 433 yards in last season's 23-20 home win over Miami.
PREDICTION: Dolphins 24, Colts 23
