Last Meeting ( Nov 5, 2019 ) Georgia Tech 82, NC State 81

North Carolina State defeated defending national champion Virginia on the road Monday despite dressing just seven players on scholarship, and may face the same predicament when it visits Georgia Tech on Saturday. Senior forward Pat Andree (right foot) and freshman forward Manny Bates (concussion) were unavailable against Virginia due to injuries suffered Jan. 18 against Clemson, and Wolfpack coach Kevin Keatts was not optimistic when asked about the duo’s status.

“There’s a possibility - when I say a possibility, a small possibility - that they play Saturday,” Keatts told reporters Thursday. “I’m very hopeful, looking beyond Saturday, if they can be available for Monday.” The Yellow Jackets led for more than 25 minutes Wednesday at fifth-ranked Louisville, but couldn’t recover after falling behind by 11 points with five minutes left in a 68-64 loss. Sophomore guard Michael Devoe, whose status entering the game was uncertain due to a left foot injury, scored a game-high 21 points but his potential go-ahead 3-pointer came up short with 10 seconds to play. “All you can ask for is a shot to win the game late,” Georgia Tech coach Josh Pastner told reporters postgame.
