Rookie forward Marvin Bagley III looks for his fourth consecutive 20-point outing when the Sacramento Kings host the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. Bagley's progress was curtailed by two different knee injuries but he is thriving now in the season's final weeks.

Bagley, the No. 2 overall pick, was more productive than probable Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic (13 points on 4-of-19 shooting) during Thursday's 116-110 win over the Dallas Mavericks, when he recorded 22 points and 12 rebounds for his 14th double-double. "It was just a matter of time before I was able to show it and go out and just play," Bagley told reporters after the win. "Just go out without thinking and just play basketball. I'm able to play free and not worried about mistakes and not worried about what happens." The Suns lost by an average of 17.5 points during a two-game homestand against the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons. Phoenix small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is done for the season and will undergo surgery on his left thumb - he averaged 23.5 points over his past four games.

ABOUT THE SUNS (17-56): Star shooting guard Devin Booker scored 20 of his 26 points in the first half during Thursday's 118-98 loss to the Pistons and was visibly frustrated during a second half in which Phoenix was outscored 60-38. "He cares about the team, he cares about winning," Phoenix coach Igor Kokoskov told reporters afterward. "He's trying to win and you know, contain your composure, be positive." Guard Tyler Johnson (knee) is slated to miss his fifth straight game, so the team signed Jimmer Fredette on Friday to add backcourt depth.

ABOUT THE KINGS (35-36): Shooting guard Buddy Hield made seven 3-pointers during a 29-point effort against Dallas to raise his season total to 238, two off the club record held by Peja Stojakovic (2003-04), now the club's assistant general manager. "He's always on me how to get better, how to get my shot off quicker, how to use my pump-fake," Hield told reporters of Stojakovic. "A lot of my success comes from him, talking to him and trying to test him and pick his brain." Center Willie Cauley-Stein collected a career-best 18 rebounds against Dallas and also had 10 points for his 21st double-double of the campaign.
