Kylian Mbappe is just one of the stars on display this week during leg 2 of the Champions League quarterfinals. The Real Madrid CF will be busy, as part of our Champions League picks.

Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG won last week, and are the four teams most likely to make it through to the semifinals.

Will all the quarterfinal second legs go to plan this week? It is unlikely: some unexpected drama is almost guaranteed. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Sporting — aka the first-leg losers — will believe they can upset the odds to take their place in the last four.

As ever, two games take place on Tuesday, with two on Wednesday as well.

UEFA Champions League weekly picks and best bets for Quarterfinals Leg 2

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona

Barcelona to qualify (+230 at Sports Interaction)

My main selection on this game is for those who took my Atletico Madrid to qualify suggestion at +195 ahead of the first leg. If you did, you now have the opportunity to lock in a profit by backing the Catalans.

Otherwise, Over 2.5 in the Barcelona total goals (+245) market is the pick. The visitors trail 2-0 from last week’s first leg, so they will come out swinging.

Hansi Flick’s players have scored three or more goals in 13 of their 24 matches in all competitions, including their 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey last month.

Liverpool vs PSG

Liverpool total goals Over 1.5 (-115 at Sports Interaction)

PSG are -909 to qualify, and it would be a massive surprise if the tournament holders did not make it through to the semifinals after their 2-0 first-leg win in Paris last week.

Yet it is too quickly forgotten how frequently the Ligue 1 side has defended poorly this season. They have conceded two or more goals in seven of their last 11 Champions League fixtures — a far higher tally than many would have imagined.

Liverpool will throw everything at the visitors. The price on the Reds becoming the latest side to score at least twice against Paris’ unreliable back four is too good to overlook.

Arsenal vs Sporting CP

Sporting CP +1.5 (-172 at Sports Interaction)

Arsenal’s 1-0 first-leg win over Sporting in Lisbon last week was their only victory in their last four matches (W1-D0-L3) in all competitions. They look increasingly unsure of their own abilities and will be distracted by the potential Premier League title decider they face against their closest rivals, Manchester City (away), next Sunday.

The evidence from Arsenal’s 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend was that they can be chased, harried, and pushed into making mistakes. Sporting, who matched their opponents for long spells of the first leg, are canny and competent enough to avoid a heavy defeat against floundering hosts.

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid

Total shots Over 32.5 (-111 at Sports Interaction)

This could turn out to be one of the most spectacular fixtures on the European soccer calendar. Bayern Munich lead 2-1 from the first leg in Madrid last week.

An open game is likely from the outset as the Liga visitors look to claw back the one-goal deficit, and Bayern rely on the immense attacking strength that saw them become the Bundesliga’s all-time highest scorers in a single season during their 5-0 win at St Pauli at the weekend.

There were 40 shots on goal (17 of which were on target) in the first leg. The total shots line is set at 32.5; the chance of it being cleared looks strong.

Champions League player prop quick hits for Quarterfinals Leg 2

Liverpool vs PSG

Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 1+ shots on target each (+100 at Sports Interaction)

PSG’s wing wizardry was too hot for Liverpool to handle in the first leg, and the same two players can cause more misery for the Reds at Anfield.

In the first leg last week, Desire Doue had two shots on target from four attempts, while Georgia star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who thrives in this competition, had two on target from seven attempts.

A parlay on the pair hitting the target once each is the selection.

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe 3+ shots on target (+155 at Sports Interaction)

This is the biggest night of the season for the French superstar, who is looking to win the Champions League, World Cup, and Ballon d’Or in 2026.

To keep the first of those dreams alive, he and Real Madrid need a massive performance in Munich. Kylian Mbappe managed four shots on target in the first leg and has the world-class talent to do so again.

The plus-money price on Real's No. 10 having 3+ shots on target is too big to ignore.
