My Real Madrid vs Pachuca best bet: Over 2.5 goals (-189 at Betano)
These teams last met in December, when Real Madrid beat Pachuca 3-0 in the 2024 FIFA Intercontinental Cup final in Qatar, with Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Vinicius Junior all finding the scoresheet.
Mbappe will miss out after being hospitalized with gastroenteritis and is likely to be replaced up front by 21-year-old Gonzalo García.
Real Madrid have won their last three FIFA club competition matches against Mexican sides without conceding, so Pachuca would be making history if they find the net on Sunday in Charlotte. Meanwhile, Los Blancos have scored in each of their last 11 matches across all competitions, and they look set to extend that run.
Under new manager Xabi Alonso, Madrid are aiming to implement an electric, attacking style — something Pachuca’s defense should struggle to contain after the tight draw with Al Hilal.
With that in mind, I’m backing Over 2.5 goals.

Make no mistake, Brazilian referee Ramon Abatti will take charge of this match.
In four of his last five games before coming to the United States for the World Cup, he's issued at least four cards. He’s no stranger to controversy, having shown red cards in two of his last three matches.
With Mbappe out, Vini Jr. should take centre stage in Real's attacks. Meanwhile, given Real’s issues at the back, expect Courtois to be challenged.
