Wrexham’s bid for a fourth straight promotion is off to a shaky start, but they can steady the ship in Saturday’s visit to Norwich.

Though that’ll be no easy feat against a Canaries team sitting in the top half of the table, my Norwich vs. Wrexham predictions expect the Red Dragons to grind out a result, especially with the latest injury news shifting in their favor.

My Norwich City vs Wrexham best bet: Wrexham double chance (-108 at SportsInteraction)

In the "What have you done for me lately?" soccer world, the pressure is mounting on Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson. Despite the club’s meteoric rise, expectations remain high, so four points from five games is a disappointing haul.

And yet, there’s a strong case to be made for patience. The Red Dragons’ squad is still gelling after a busy summer in the transfer market, and they’ve already picked up a road victory this season. With Josh Windass expected to return from a hamstring injury, and midfielder George Thomason set for his debut, I like these odds for Wrexham to leave Carrow Road with at least a share of the points.

Defensively, the Red Dragons simply have to be better. That’s no secret. However, the visitors may be catching a break here, with Norwich reeling from injuries to Mathias Kvistgaarden and Ben Chrisene.

Parkinson may also tinker with his formation to make Wrexham harder to break down. They showed that smash-and-grab ability at Millwall last month, winning 2-0 despite a 0.55 xG, and playing on the counter-attack should suit them this weekend.

It’s also worth noting that Norwich have picked up all seven of their Championship points on their travels this season. The Canaries have already lost three times at home, including a Carabao Cup defeat to Southampton, and that makes this a decent bounceback spot for a Wrexham team that needs to turn the corner in a hurry.

Norwich City vs Wrexham same-game parlay (SGP)

Wrexham double chance

Kieffer Moore anytime goalscorer

Josh Aargent 1+ shots on target

We’ve got two of the Championship’s most in-form strikers on show here at Carrow Road, and I’m wagering on both Kieffer Moore and Josh Sargent to make an impact. Moore has found the net in four straight contests, and he’ll get chances to add to that streak on Saturday.

Sargent enters with five league goals under his belt and a bigger burden to carry after Kvistgaarden’s injury. While I expect Wrexham’s leaky defense to be stingier here, Sargent is a good bet to hit the target this weekend.
