“It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” Premier League fans say, referring to the action-packed stretch between Christmas and the start of the new year.

Drama and goals are on full display every season — what more could a fan want? The London derby between Crystal Palace and Tottenham is sure to deliver excitement.

There will be goals and plenty of entertainment in this game. Here are my Crystal Palace vs. Tottenham predictions and betting picks for Sunday, December 28.

Premier League predictions for Crystal Palace vs Tottenham

My Crystal Palace vs Tottenham best bet: Jean-Philippe Mateta anytime goalscorer (+140 at Sports Interaction)

Jean-Philippe Mateta has scored 23 goals across his last 31 Premier League starts at Selhurst Park. The Frenchman scored the game's only goal in this exact fixture last season, which ended in a 1-0 win for Crystal Palace in October 2024.

This season, he netted seven times in 17 games. But he last scored for Palace in the Premier League on November 30, so a month ago.

It's high time his drought ended. The Christmas period is a perfect time for him to restart the counter, given that teams tend to play more openly than usual.

Add Tottenham's chronic defensive troubles and the fact that their best defender, Cristian Romero, will be absent, and Mateta's case pleads even more convincingly.

I will take Sports Interaction's +140 on Mateta scoring anytime during the clash against Tottenham on Sunday.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham same-game parlay (SGP)

Jean-Philippe Mateta anytime goalscorer

Eddie Nketiah 1+ shots on target

Richarlison 1+ shots on target

Randal Kolo Muani 1+ shots on target

Despite his team's form not being the best in recent games, Eddie Nketiah was still involved offensively. He registered at least a shot on target in each of the last three games Crystal Palace played in the Premier League.

To get my same-game parlay to +1,050, I'll have to be hoping for two deliveries from Spurs players. I'll include Richarlison and Kolo Muani for shots on target as well.

Richarlison scored four times in his last seven games, with two goals coming in his previous three encounters. He is Tottenham's leading marksman with seven goals.

Kolo Muani managed to trouble the opposite keepers in two of the last three games he played for Tottenham. He forced saves in the games against Brentford and Liverpool, and I count on him to do it again.
