This Tennessee team's gonna be the most talented and physical that Michigan State's faced in quite a while.
Hey... hats off to the Spartans and Coach Izzo for getting this far while dealing with injuries and depth... but, to say they've had their hands full in this tournament run would be an understatement.
Let's face it... they got some help Friday night from Northern Iowa who, after holding the Spartans to just 22 1st half pts, finally showed their inexperience in a 2nd-half meltdown.
Before that... State withered badly under pressure down the stretch... needing a 3-pt buzzer-beater to finally put away Maryland.
Before that... and as 13-pt chalk... Michigan State again displayed 2nd half struggles before squeeking by a New Mexico State team... who closed out their regular season by losing six of their last nine games.
Before that... they were quickly dispatched from the Big 10 Tournament by a Minnesota team that went on to get horsewhipped by Ohio State.
Okay... enough of the history lesson... I suspect that this game's gonna clearly expose the loss of star G Lucas... 'cause Spartan pts-in-the-paint will be tough to come by today. (Hell... the Spartans lostto the likes of Purdue, Wisconsin, Texas, and Illinois withLucas!)
A quick glance at Tennessee's victims this season should answer any lingering doubt that the Vols are gonna be quite capable of getting past this Michigan State squad.

WHY? I won't bet against Izzo in the tourney. TENN first elite 8 appearance, one step at a time (no final four for them yet) Under has been the play this for Tourney week 2. Under because this is going to be a TOUGH, In your face style of Game.

U-75 for the 2H After that crazy first 5 minutes, where they scored 32 pts, the final 15 minutes of the first half avg 3.2 pts per minute. So that comes out to a 64 pt half. I just don't see these two teams even hitting 70, much less 75 in the 2nd half.
