One play today:

Bulls@Lakers under 185.5 for 10 units...POD


The Bulls had the leagues best defense last season as they allowed a league low 90.8ppg while the Lakers were not far behind only allowing 95.3ppg just 8 slots behind the Bulls in that departement. The Lakers averaged 100.6ppg on offense while the Bulls finished up the season averaging 97.6ppg on offense. It's no surprise that those offensive numbers ranked 9th for the Lakers and 20th for the Bulls as that related rather close to their shots per game as the Lakers style consisted of averaging 81.9 shots per game (12th) while the Bulls style consisted of them averaging 80.4 shots per game (20th). I expect these 2 teams to fall well below their shots per game averages while both teams will be playing solid defense as they have been known to do for quite some time now. I like my chances on this one to stay under today as long as the refs don't blow up the whistle on us...

That play is pretty damn sharp.  Both defenses should be solid.  Bynum out gives me a little worry because Rose will get to the rim at will, but it looks solid.

That was quite the unfortunate 2nd qtr of 63 points with both teams shooting at an alarming rate. Playing the newly adjusted total for the 2nd half along with what is clearly obvious the better team (Bulls)...

Night play:

Clippers@Warriors over 207.5 for 10 units... Last season's home opener for the Warriors was a shootout that encountered 179 shot attempts in a game that tallied 260pts as the Rockets were in town. Luis Scola was a beast in that game as the proceeded to score 36pts in a game that had 47 fast break points & 78 free throw attempts. Defensive is not something that the Warriors have played in quite some time as last season they ranked 3rd worst in the league allowing 105.7ppg. The Warriors were are also the fastest paced teams in the league as they took an average of 85.9 shots per game which was number 1 in the league. Hard to not see Chris Paul running up and down the court while Blake Griffin has his way against the defenseless post play of the Warriors. If tonights game exceeds the total it will mark the 7th time in a row that a Warriors home opener or season opener has went over the set total as here are the 6 previous games that all exceeded the total below...
