Golfers are starting to fine-tune their games with the 2022 Masters about a month away, but next up on the PGA betting slate is the unofficial fifth major of the year — The PLAYERS Championship.

OWGR No. 1 Jon Rahm entered the week as the pre-tournament betting favorite, but he's got lots of company at the top of the board.

With the event officially underway, here are the live PGA Tour odds to win the 2022 PLAYERS Championship, teeing off from March 10-13 at TPC Sawgrass' Players Stadium Course.

The PLAYERS Championship 2022 pre-tournament favorites

Jon Rahm (+1,100)

Rahm, the No. 1-ranked player in the world and current betting favorite to win The Masters, is atop the PLAYERS Championship odds board with opening lines posted. The Spaniard has entered six events in 2022, posting two Top-3 finishes and three Top-10s. He hasn't finished worse than 21st this year but remains without a victory and is coming off a T17 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Justin Thomas (+1,400)

Just behind Rahm on the odds board is a three-way tie for second betting favorite, headlined by defending champion Justin Thomas. The American, who sits seventh in the Official World Golf Rankings, has been red-hot with five Top-8 finishes in his last six events (dating back to November) and he's also already been confirmed to start The PLAYERS Championship in a feature group with the other two golfers tied with him at +1,400.

Collin Morikawa (+1,400)

Morikawa's meteoric rise in 2021 has continued this year, as he currently sits No. 2 in the OWGR and has a Top-7 finish in all five events entered this season, most recently a T2 at the Genesis Invitational. Morikawa has done well at high-profile tournaments lately, finishing fourth in last year's U.S. Open then winning the British Open, and despite posting just a T41 at last year's PLAYERS Championship, he ended on a high note with a 6-Under 66 final round.

Rory McIlroy (+1,400)

McIlroy is no stranger to TPC Sawgrass, winning The PLAYERS Championship in 2019, but he missed the cut two of the last three times he's entered (the event was canceled in 2020) and his 2019 victory was his only finish inside the Top-13 since 2015. The fifth-ranked golfer in the world posted a T10 at the Genesis Invitational last February and started off well at Bay Hill, but crumbled over the weekend with consecutive +4 rounds to finish T13.

The rest of the field

As mentioned above, this is a loaded field for the biggest non-major event of the year, so it's no surprise to see some big names — such as World No. 3 Patrick Cantlay, big bomber Bryson DeChambeau, and former world No. 1 Dustin Johnson — all sitting at 20/1 or higher. But there are a couple of intriguing names to keep an eye on at interestingly high values.

The PLAYERS Championship 2022 notable sleepers

Daniel Berger (+3,000)

The 28-year-old Berger has two Top 5s in four events in 2022, most recently a fourth-place result at the Honda Classic two weeks ago. After a rough opening round at TPC Sawgrass last year, Berger rallied back to finish ninth (-8) and coupled with a T7 at the U.S. Open, T8 at the British Open, and T11 at the TOUR Championship, he's proven himself to be a player that elevates his game in the biggest events.

Webb Simpson (+4,000)

We haven't seen much lately from Simpson, who's played just one event since the beginning of December (a T61 at the Sony Open in January) due to nagging injuries. But he finished 2019 at No. 11 in the world and ended 2020 as the world's sixth-ranked player, so if he can get healthy he has the talent to deliver on 40/1 odds this weekend at TPC Sawgrass... where he also won this event in 2018.
