The Montreal Canadiens will aim to push their win streak to five when they welcome the New York Rangers to Bell Centre during Hockey Night in Canada.

New York has been one of the worst offensive teams in the league so far this season, and my Rangers vs. Canadiens predictions expect another low-scoring duel.

Rangers vs Canadiens prediction

Rangers vs Canadiens Best bet: Under 5.5 (+110)

The Montreal Canadiens enter the weekend on a four-game win streak, tied with a few other clubs for the NHL’s longest active run.

Montreal's defense has been superb to start the season, allowing just 24.2 shots on goal per game, ranking fourth-best in the league.

Meanwhile, the New York Rangers are averaging just 1.83 goals per game this year, ahead of only the Calgary Flames (1.80).

Five of six Rangers games this season have featured Under 5.5 goals, as the Blueshirts have been shut out in three of those outings. Habs games have also finished with fewer than 5.5 total goals in two of the last three contests.

Get ready for goals to be at a premium in La belle province.

Rangers vs Canadiens same-game parlay

Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki have been quite the dynamic duo on Montreal’s top line, combining for 14 points in the Habs’ first five games of the season.

Caufield has hit the scoresheet in four straight games and recorded multiple points in three of them, while Suzuki has also picked up a point in four consecutive contests.
