NHL Player Props & Best Bets for Today, December 14: Cole World

Edmonton is great at scoring goals, but not so much at stopping them. That's why our NHL prop picks back Cole Caufield to light the lamp.

Our best NHL player props for Sunday, December 14

Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.

Prop #1: Cole Caufield anytime goalscorer

+135 at BET99

The Montreal Canadiens host the Edmonton Oilers in the late window of Sunday’s NHL slate. Montreal forward Cole Caufield carries this offense, leading the team in goals by nearly double the amount of the next player.

Caufield has scored in three of his past five games, and that success is likely to continue against Edmonton. He's dominated the Oilers, scoring three goals over the past two meetings.

Meanwhile, goaltender Calvin Pickard is projected to start for Edmonton. Through 10 appearances this year, Pickard is 3-3-2 with a fade-worthy .851 SV% and a 4.04 GAA.

Prop #2: Jordan Eberle anytime goalscorer

+215 at BET99

Speaking of weak goaltending, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is expected to start for the Buffalo Sabres as they travel to Seattle to take on the Kraken in Sunday’s nightcap. Through 10 appearances this season, Luukkonen is 4-5-1 with an .884 SV%.

If he has another rough outing, it's likely Seattle forward Jordan Eberle is at least partly responsible. Eberle leads the Kraken in goals and is also a threat on the power play.

This year, Buffalo ranks 27th in penalty minutes taken per game.

Prop #3: Mason Marchment anytime goalscorer

+275 at BET99

Sticking with the same game, Mason Marchment is another Kraken forward to consider. Marchment is coming off his best game of the season, scoring twice on six shots against the Utah Mammoth.

Both of those goals came at even strength, which is another way to beat Buffalo. At 5-on-5 this season, the Sabres rank in the bottom half of the league in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60).

With poor defense and shaky goaltending, Buffalo is a team that can be scored on multiple times, and it would not be surprising if at least one of Eberle or Marchment found the back of the net.
