Our best NHL player props for Saturday, December 13
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points
The Edmonton Oilers are starting to play better as of late, and that’s in part due to how well Connor McDavid is playing. The three-time Hart Trophy winner has 12 points in his last four games alone, scoring five times and registering seven assists.
McDavid has cashed the Over in points in four straight appearances, and in five of his last six. Last time out, the superstar assisted all four of Edmonton’s goals in a dominant 4-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings.
McDavid already has 48 points this season, and he’s on absolute fire right now. He’ll get it done against the Maple Leafs this evening.

Prop #2: Leon Draisaitl Over 0.5 assists
Leon Draisaitl is also having an electric campaign, scoring 17 times and setting up another 23. The German has nine points in his last four, and that includes seven assists. He’s cashed the Over in helpers in each of those contests.
Draisaitl also got in on the action on Thursday against the Red Wings, registering a pair of assists. In fact, he has at least one helper in 10 of his previous 11 outings. The veteran cannot be stopped at the moment, and this is why the odds aren’t screaming value here.
However, his consistency is evident, and Draisaitl posted two assists in two meetings with Toronto in the 2024-25 season.

Prop #3: Carter Verhaeghe anytime goalscorer
Carter Verhaeghe only has nine goals this season for the defending champion Florida Panthers, but a lot of that damage has come lately. He’s already scored five times in December, finding the back of the net in four of five appearances.
That even includes a two-goal performance last week, and most recently, Verhaeghe scored on Wednesday against the Utah Mammoth. He’s never been a guy who has had an issue scoring goals, finishing with at least 20 in each of the last two seasons.
Verhaeghe is skating with boatloads of confidence, and I’ll take him to score another tonight against the Stars.
